Yeah Bertia just wants to act her role in the story and she's dense enough to not realize that her friends don't want her to get hurt and that the heroine is, well, insane
Ok maybe not insane, but she's a narcissist, egoist, an attention seeker and will try to manipulate others around her with illegal and unethical means, and with no redeeming qualities that I've seen as of yet
The villainess's family gets a bad ending in every route. The least horrible ending the family gets gets is Heronia ends up with the prince. Even if Tia had any inclination of the prince's feelings for her, she likely thinks that her family will somehow be punished horribly no matter what. I mean, if there was one bad ending with her family, I'd get why Tia might think there's a chance for her to be happy, but there are FIVE endings where her family gets a horrible ending, and the prince getting with Heronia gives them the least horrible fate. So I can understand her thinking that even if she got with the prince, something horrible would happen and her family would end up suffering.

Cecil had always had a strong wall that separated himself from others and its own feelings and the only one who had managed to break this wall in the "canon" story was the heroine. I just can't change my mind on the princess other than her being a bad ruler. Well the war ended and now realising herself that she did nothing should get her thinking that she is not fit being the ruler or either change that naive mindset of hers.
A capable ruler isn't someone who has all the solution. A capable ruler is someone who can recognize good solutions that other people have help them implement it.
Just take a look at the democratic party within America. All the candidates running for president all have good solutions for the problems in America. The fact that nothing is getting done isn't because they don't have solutions. It's because they don't want to rally together in fixing the problems of the nation and just want to bicker for power.
I'd much rather vote for a person who can say, "That idea is better than mine. I'll do my best to help implement that idea even if I don't become president" than a president who keep parading his or her solutions as the best one even when it is clearly not.
It's because people want a person who have all the solutions instead of a person who wants to better the nations that we keep having President that cares more about their money and power than the nation's problems.
I mean if they want to kill rimuru and the gang that bad I don't mind rimuru breaking the rule of not killing humans i guess in the world where power is everything that is the only way to put those greedy ppl in its place ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
