Get ready for Cayena to be kidnapped when she visits the building in a few chapters ¯_(ツ)_/¯

here!! they sadly stopped translating, but they got quite far tbh. https://woopread.com/series/the-villainess-is-a-marionette/

There's something so off about this manwha... she's such a Mary Sue - it's unbelievable. Like I know she's lived a life as a sword for like 500 years, but honestly... what the hell? How did she even become the crown Prince's tutor at such a young age when she had barely any qualifications? They didn't even test her swordsmanship... she came in as an honorary knight. Why did she want to destroy the empire through him? She could've just done it herself — she's smart. She could gain forces by just being the princess of her family. IDK!!! I'm still gonna read tho, but everything is just so weird to me — the vibe is off — idk where tho... but everything feels so perfect to me....

she can’t do it on her own for many reasons. First of all she has little to no power writhing her family, even if she tried to gather an army under her family’s name her stupid ass dad and brothers would not let her. Also the emperor, so by doing it through the prince she can tear down the empire she hates so much from the inside without arousing suspicion

I guess my problem specifically is that it feels as if there's not a lot of obstacles or things in the story that seem to interest me at all. It's still a decent manwha, but it feels off to me for no reason. The main goal of the FL is to basically destroy the kingdom, and she's going through it in this way. It makes sense why she's doing it and how she's going about it, but it's just not... interesting... It's not something that I look forward to read every week. I read the some of the novel, though, so I'll just be waiting for the upcoming parts since they actually include some action and conflict :)

I feel like it was wayy better explained in the novel so go there if you want a more in-depth analysis. But the main reason she was able to become a tutor is first no-one wanted to be CP's tutor, he was essentially abandoned by the Emperor so being associated with him. She was the only who volunteered even if young, and due to her family she had the credentials. Only duke and archduke families can teach the royal family. So even if she was young she was in name a "Knight", and had already received a full education. She took up a spot no one wanted so there was no fuss in the position going to her. I think she's using Dylan bc she doesn't want to be directly involved. If she was going to rule/ ruin the empire then she would also be responsible for the empire after that. However, by using Dylan, her plan is to leave as soon as he becomes King. I also think she held a bit of pity for him, seeing such a talented person be disregarded by their family - she probs saw herself in him.
The novel deffo does a way better job of explaining it all tho
Daniel calling himself the Devil is so cringey
