Many people are pissed because of Ripley's crazy overworked thingy and cannot do other things. It's actually pretty normal when you are new to business, you tend to be overworked and you can't prioritise other important things as well. Since she and Etoile is a fresh meat, they're supposed to create a good first impression. Not to mention they are doing this extra seriously. If their business is not working, all the investments will be a waste. They don't have other jobs to compensate the loss of their business. They really want this to create money, not just a side job where it's fine if it doesn't work out.
Sorry for the long rant, I just have a different opinion for the matter.
