First of all, literally who was there to guide him mentally and emotionally when he was just a child??? He was even bullied in middle school. Jfc. It's no wonder he easily got attached to Yamato.
Plus i don't completely agree with what his father said - "you're cut from the same cloth" (pertaining to Hozumi's mom). Hozumi was able to easily let go of everything bc he felt abandoned. However, his mom was like "bye bye Hozumi uwu" to her own child who clearly wanted to stay with her. He has reasons as to why he doesn't want to see her now.
Man, i hate Hozumi's parents. Deadass my heart sank reading the panels where she was with her mom for a meeting and he kept wondering how she's still happy while he's in a miserable stand with his family. I just wanted to protect him there. But now he and Yamato are filled with happiness together and i love that for them!

I think there were p clear implications that Takeo liked Totoki at some point? I wish him a love interest!! (it's kinda funny tho - he says he has "lost" but he was never part of the "race" as Totoki was only thinking abt Shingo the entire time)
The first story of this author that i read was See You Later, Mermaid and i loved it so much it easily became one of my faves now that i just read their other stories, they're now one of my fave authors their mind is AMAZING ┗( T﹏T )┛
