I’m only 22 chapters in but I love how they (hopefully) didn’t make Rayan fall in love with her just because she’s the first girl his age to be nice to him. I don’t loathe the trope, but I hate when an abused ML falls for the FL just because she happens to be the first person who’s kind, I think gaining a healthy family (like here) is so much more healing. Plus, the blonde prince’s character trope is one I always root for, so the possibility that he can actually be the ML is very satisfying. I can’t wait for everything to be sunshine and rainbows
Something I always think about in historical manhwa when the MC and the ML are both from ducal houses is how the power structure doesn’t crumble.. especially when they don’t have any siblings. Do they end up merging? Do they (somehow) each manage their own houses, then try for two kids and have them continue both houses? Then there couldn’t be another marriage between the two houses, at least for a while.
It’s different when it’s imperial family x ducal house since it’s not uncommon that a duke has some imperial lineage. It feels different when there’s multiple dukes who are world-built to keep each other in check, feels unstable
