The Marques has been on my radar since the beginning, his eyes and composure is so darn attractive! I can't help but show little interest in the series except when it involves fatherxdaughter moments with a few surprises among the other characters. But now the story is getting noticeably interesting (around chapter 70) between the prince and his betrothed. Its taking forever to get to the main story but I appreciate the author fleshing out her connections or relationships before getting around to the prince.
Another part of me wanted Gracie to be charmed by the princess after pointing out she could change the law and be in line to succeed. Don't get me wrong I adore the Prince and Princess together, but just for this chapter, I felt electric vibes beyond friendship as Gracie is extremely independent- excelling in her abilities and mannerism that seems prince like while the princess is wise, supportive, and strong-willed caught me by surprise wishing for these two strong female characters in a relationship. I would read it if more GL books held characteristics like theirs!
Maybe its because the prince has been absent for too long (momentarily forgot about him as Gracie's outburst/background distracted me) I'm starting to hallucinate something that doesn't exist but even if it was unlikely, I believe they would have made a strikingly handsome couple.

If the author wasn't the love interest of the story I would have loved to see the Rose Knight, who is level headed, face his troublesome wife in this fashion. Its both adorable and hilarious, something I'd like to see unfold but I enjoy the story so far. :)
