After meeting Adam/Apple, Michael/Eve gained an 'awareness'; he no longer wanted to simply be an obedient soldier (the angel Michael being God's strongest soldier) but instead began to desire other things in life, like Eve when she ate the apple (Michael/Eve's desire would be love and a romantic relationship with Adam)
