Because like I said, taking a bath was only a pretense to go out and meet Na-Kyum and his sister. He took the scarf with him as an apology and a sign that some level of trust has been restored.
However Seungho never had any intention of letting Na-Kyum go. If he was open to the idea he wouldn't have forced him to say goodbye from the inside of the property where he can monitor his every move. More importantly,he wouldn't have threatened to murder his sister if she ever came back to visit. He's adamant on isolating Na-Kyum from anyone that could open up his eyes to the reality of his captivity. Which is why he hates the sister.
Na-Kyum is still his obsession and his plaything.

I dont doubt that seungho is still possessive over nakyum but what im saying is up until that point he saw nakyum and the noona again he WAS ready to let him go. Now that nakyum has declared and chose to stay with him, seungho of course would not let him go now. I dont think seungho needs any pretense at all to see nakyum itS his house after all and i believe the author showed the scene of the servant carrying the clothes, his messed up room, him not touching his food, smoking and drinking to highlight that he was tormenting with the idea of letting nakyum go. We can agree to disagree tho this is what i think ╮(￣▽￣)╭

We all do! And we're certainly not crazy. Actually, now that I read again the chapter, it looks like SH was like a zombie smoking and not touching his food while waiting what will be NK decision. He then came with a guard and warm outfits for NK. Dont you guys think he was ready to let him go and he was even expecting it. Then he realized NK will stay so he only gave him the scarf to say goodbye to Noona. But there were still clothes remaining with the guard. What was this for if not for initially expecting NK to leave him and letting him go?? This chapter looks ordinary but it could be one of the most important if this theory is true. It will be the turning point for both of them. SH heard NK and Noona conversation so he was expecting him to leave him and he was prepared to let him go... yet NK stayed which is somehow a love confession and a mark of trust towards SH!

Lol! It's your comment that made me read again the chapter because I didn't get the clothes part. It looked weird... why would SH come with a guard and all these warm clothes if not for NK after expecting him to leave and even let him go. I read the chapter on Lezhin with the official english translation and even with the dialogues it wasn't clear at all. But BD is a genius in telling her story with the smallest details... I really think the clothes part was the detail the readers were supposed to understand so they will notice the huge progress from SH's side.... as well as from NK because he is willing to stay with SH.

And i noticed that when seungho was smoking near the window we can see his bedroom’s in a messy state? Like bro had a mental breakdown in his room probably, knowing he’d have to let nakyum go for reals this time

Exactly. The doors and windows were open and wind and cold was probably striking but he didn't care because he was a total mess at that moment. Also, notice how he was wearing a headband in his room yet it wasn't there when he came to meet NK and Noona with a guard.... which maybe shows that he wasn't planning on following NK if he ran away and left him. He was in peace with that decision becausw he was expecting it. Hence the guard with the warm clothes. (￣∇￣")ي

Yeah, something was up with him that's for sure. I think you are right that he was going to let him go if he wanted to leave this time. He must've smoked the opium to dull the pain in case he did have to grant that wish. :(

Oh, I pray this is a turning point where we get a few chapters of them being happy with each other. Maybe he will finally believe in NK wanting JUST him, and NK can finally open his heart all the way as well.

My problem with noona is that she shows up AFTER THE FACT. They've already come so far together creating a deeper bond, so now you want to disrupt his life for what? The time to take him away is gone. NK is really surrounded by awful people in his life before SH first that disgusting user of a professor and now his noona who magically reappears when it's too late.

Back then you were lucky to be taken in if you were of low blood, and that's exactly what SH did with NK. While there have been bumps along the way, you can tell having NK with him is like his oxygen. He can't function when he leaves, and he resorts to the dangerous side of himself.

Also, I feel NK has grown accustomed to having SH in his life. He likes to be taken care of by him and treated well. He feels his affection is coming from an honest place now, so hopefully, noona's pep talk doesn't last because he tends to believe the negative too much until they have a tender moment, so let's hope SH can draw him back again.

Unfortunately, I think Noona will be tricked by Min and Jihwa and she will play a big role in making Nakyum fall for Min's trap. I just hope he won't have enough time to hurt him and SH will finally show up to save him unlike the previous time where he did not believe him. Maybe that's why it happened that way... they needed the first kidnapping to trust each other. Now they do. But Noona just wants to save Nakyum and bring him back to the brothel where a darker future awaits him. If she wanted him away the first time it's certainly because she knows how fragile and delicate looking he is and how he might be turned into a prostitute by the other men. So what's the whole point of bringing him back...

I was thinking about the happy ending issue, and I feel as if SH is going to almost die trying to save NK, but I just don't think author-nim is going to kill either one of them. It will be the ultimate sacrifice as SH cannot control his emotions if someone goes near NK in any way, and it will reunite them for good.
