People like those in the comments who do not understand the position Helena may be in are EXACTLY the reason why we need/still need the #metoo movement.

I wouldn't say it's just that. I can understand where you're coming from, and i can see some of it being desplayed - but it feels like she goes to an unnececery places.
She knows the prince is engaged, and know how his fiencee is feeling about her, yet she is next to the prince whenever the fl is near him.
Even if this is isn't her choice, which i can understand, in helenas and elises private conversations (that helena did not need to start or continue since elis clearly hates it) she ignors all of the things shes done so far (probably since shes too innocent and maybe also denying it) and acts like she just want to be friends. Only saying sorry for one obvious thing. And at that - something that another person did.
If she had any understanding or morals of the things shes doing, she would at leat be more understanding towards elis in private. But she isn't - she thinks about her side and basicly says the things that will make her feel better so she can go on and believe she is a good person.
Helena might have some things she need to do in order to survive , but she went further than that. She trampled elise on the way and i think (just a personal theaory) that deep down, she is awere of that. But if she'll admit it she will have to face the fact that she is a worst person than she thought she was.

i am Not happily anticipating the upcoming king vs arthur re: charley drama... I don't want that kind of toxic 2nd lead i just want to see kara and charley kicking ass with brandon doing the cooking and the cleaning

It was mentioned that when they were kids the king's identity was not revealed yet... It was after learning that he is the bastard child of the king and not the Duke's son that his attitude changed. But I mean still...Why? If anything shouldn't he treasure his family more? The Duke and Duchess (even though defiled by the king) raised him with so much love and without discrimination (as shown in the flashbacks) so it doesn't make any sense why he would be so bitter... Jealousy? That maybe the younger bro(Duke's son) is not a bastard and was born from love? Idk... The author really needs to give a detailed explanation about this... Because so far I have zero understanding or sympathy for the king's actions.

i honestly like the scenes where she strategizes and cedric discusses with her those strategies the most, as opposed to angry/jealous/bitchslapping scenes. im just here for the statebuilding, guys. hopefully tia can move beyond "just replacing the people at the top will be enough" and actually do some structural change?
NOOOO PROTECT CINDERELLA
