O think the reverse course goes only some minutes prior to what happen.. for that reason Nobara had a small change of living because was to late to use it on her to heal her completely, so she need to fight probably for her life with that 1% that reverse curse will gave her. Nanami is dead they can do anything to reverse that. As for Maki she wasn't dead she was badly injured and reverse curse couldn't help her to heal completely for that reason her face is burned..
