like I feel like the plot is brushing past fl's trauma too fast. ml doesn't seem to seriously consider her feelings and the plot just allows that and I'm afraid it's gonna progress without actually hitting the root of the issue, ml's selfishness and toxicity and how that is not endearing or cute
I think him having to deal with her family, who care more about a person's character than their money, will change him. He has to get all of their permission first, and they all currently hate/dislike him because he's tried to buy their love instead of showing he's a good person XD
but he's already somewhat won them over by acting fake asf, esp the mom it's not that they believe he's a bad person, they're reluctant to marry mc to him bc they respect their daughter's wishes when she says she doesn't want to marry him (they have other reasons like status and overprotectiveness but neither of those root from them thinking he's a bad person who needs to change)
I understand she's trying to move on and ml isn't entitled to know how bad he hurt her, but I just wish she would explain just how much she devoted her life to him, only for him to give what she had desperately been begging for in silence after she literally sacrificed her life for him. u don't know what u have until it's gone fr. Ik ml is supposed to psychotic and crazy or wtv, but it'd be nice to see him genuinely grovel and regret his decisions and apologize rather than see him trying to force and manipulate fl. it feels like his repentance is secondary to him when it comes to priorities and I don't like that, he should focus on making it up to FL rather than trying to force their relationship back to how it used to be (which was an incredibly toxic and isolating relationship btw)

the grandma intended on choking and punishing mc without hearing her side of the story first??? despite everything they say about her being lawful and justly, she sure is quick to judge and come to unfinished conclusions :/ idc if it was an act, it was unnecessary, out of character, and frustrating in a bad way (yes, some feelings of frustration can be an indicator of good writing, but that's not the case in this scenario)
