I agree that it was definitely uncomfortable to read and I didn’t like it either; however, I do feel as though it made sense for the main character. He explains in the last chapter, but he was returning to his abuser who SA’s him and in that moment he didn’t know what else to do other than give in. I think also because sex was something he was often “trained” to hate about himself, it because a mix of taking back some semblance of release and a way for him to enact his frustrations. His entire inner-dialogue was so sad during that scene and he seemed pretty disgusted with himself as well and I think it wasn’t just a “punishment” for his abuser with the way he was so “violent” as he states, but for himself as well for falling in love.
