violet really deserves so much better and this man is shitting himself if she thinks that some cheeky flirting and crumbs of attention is going to make up for the years of abuse and neglect he subjected her to (both directly and indirectly). I feel like the only way to repair their relationship is for her to get a divorce and start living for herself (bc for so long her happiness was dependent on the hope that maybe this would be the day that he shows her some attention) and then winter realizes all the mistakes that he's made and what he's been missing out on. I really feel like this is the only way to go because violet tried until the very end to get him to just look at her and her last thoughts before her suicide attempt were "even this probably won't make you look at me" which is so incredibly heartbreaking... i really hope they get a divorce because winter needs to see all the shit that he did wrong before they have a real chance of repairing their relationship

violet deserves the absolute world and the way the story is progressing right now is making me kind of wary I'm not gonna lie. the way things are going so far makes it seem like they're just going to slowly make winter a 'nicer' guy/ someone who just finally starts to pay attention to her and she's going to fall in love with him because of that, which I really hope doesn't happen because it just writes off all the past neglect she faced and the abuse that she dealt with at his hands- and before anyone says anything neglect is a form of abuse idc what his excuse what but she cried out for help so many times and he recognized it and still ignored her to the point that she had chronic untreated illnesses and severe depression. I really don't want violet to fall in love with him because he's finally showing her some attention, because he needs to come face to face with his past mistakes and really make up for them first.
