so basically what im getting from this is that helena is in a similar situation except the opposite- if she tries to deviate from her role of the ditzy commoner girl, someone else gets in trouble (as opposed to erin dying herself when she deviates bc shes the villainess), leaving her with a sense of guilt... i guess in this way shes similar to yuri from beware of the villainess but idk her vibes are still a little off... esp bc of what she said in the last couple of panesl

my heart is literally aching for violet... i hope she successfully runs away and the moron duke realizes that hes been a neglectful piece of shit husband... the flashback to when she was begging him to come to the party and it turns out it was because she just wanted to have at least one person on her side... the moron duke is finally beginning to realize all the shit his neglectful attitude has led to

the scene where violet (in winters body) stands up to ash made me cry so hard because she said "i wished for so long that he would defend me just once like this" and it really hit for me how much he neglected her throughout their marriage...it cant just be chalked up to simple misunderstandings... she gave him multiple chances and never gave up on him but he did not give a single fuck about her.

I AM LITERALLY SOBBING MY EYES OUT IN RAGE I FEEL SO BAD FOR VIOLET FUCK THE DUKE FUCK FUCK FUCK HIM I DONT CARE IF ITS A MISUNDERSTANDING OR HE CANT EXPRESS HIS FEELINGS OR WHATEVER OTHER EXCUSE THERE IS HE NEGLECTED HER AND INSULTED HER FOR YEARS AND NEVER CHECKED ON HER OR BOTHERED TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO HER AND NEVER DEFENDED HER AND EVEN WHEN ALL THE WARNING SIGNS WERE THERE HE DIDNT CARE

does anyone feel like the progression of romance is just really slow?? like i understand they want to build a story first but i feel like the story focuses on random insignificant things and avoids romance completely... like they had a good momentum going with the chanyoung (i think thats his name?? black hair blue eyes) guy and they had some cute moments but then they kind of abandoned that storyline completely?? like what is going on

I read the novel and they did build up the romance. But the author is focusing on Dan-I's story on how she got there and why she suddenly came back to her own world. O believe that the romance here is just a side-plot. The author said on her twitter that she wanted to focus on Dan-I's development as a character and Yoryeong. The other male lead's too actually. I think the author is giving them much complex personalities. So the romance might really be just there.
