It was during the early parts of shuri’s marriage, she receives love like letters from anonymous which she hides cause she thought she’d be in trouble. These letter were found hidden by Johanna’s and he abused her for it.
The letters were most likely a set up. Now they’re being used as evidence of her being “unfaithful” which she was not.
