Does anybody know if the locations on the manga are based irl? I want to have a pilgrimage in these places. I already know the places in Given which I plan to go this year. These mangas are my top BL manga ever and I really want to got to these places. Only clues I got is it's near Tokyo tower but aside from that I got no clue if the places are based irl locations.

It's sad that they remove the BL part and the author might have been forced to do it by the publishers. That's what sad about it, the mangaka not being able to do what she wanted on her own manga.
The BL tag was not removed, it was purely a misunderstanding born from unoffical sites mistagging this as bl. The original release was never tagged as "BL" and mokumoku is not getting "censored" or erasing the queerness of the characters. Also why are you using she/her for the author?
I'm basing my assumption on the author's past work which is only two as far as I know and both have gay characters so one can assume that this manga will also have the same tags. The first volume of Hikaru although it doesn't explicitly say it, there are multiple hints that it is Shounen Ai at least. Even on the original one shot of Hikaru, both the characters kissed so there's that. My point is it's disappointing if the author was forced to removed the BL part by the publisher because of how it got famous. But if the author willingly removed it and doesn't originally plan for the two characters to developed romantically then I have no fight with that, it's just the author already set the BL tone for the first few volumes and removing that part completely is sus.
Also PLEASE, if the author doesn't make their pronouns a big deal and they aren't even publicly revealed, you can just chill. I just assumed they are female based on their past works and it's rare for male mangakas to do yaoi, it's that simple. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill.
My point was that that's not the case. Mokumoku is continuing the story exactly as they originally planned to, this was never meant to be a typical BL(hence no BL tag at any point)
There's an interview with them after they won a 2023 "This Manga is Amazing!(このマンガがすごい！)" award where they state multiple times how they plan and try their best to not stray away from the original plan for this manga, they did not nor do they plan to "remove" any gayness from the story.

I haven't been able to find anything that'd support the fact that either they or the magazine releasing it(Young Ace Up) is somehow removing the queer elements
