Uhm, is it wrong for ladies to be too selfish sometimes? If you were really with her from the beggining, you should've felt all her patience, efforts for doing all those dangerous things for the sake of the duke and holding back because of the circumstances with Susan. She just wanted an assurance of a future EVEN AFTER THE WEDDING. For me, what Adele is doing right now is not wrong. Considering the Duke's denseness and his hesitations because of his past, he deserve some drama like this. (⌒▽⌒)
It's not wrong, I know, I've been there lmao. But from the beginning, she was the one to agree to the contract between them; she was the one who kept putting herself on harm's way despite the Duke telling her no (I mean her help was highly appreciated). I agree with her actions on this stupid Duke's denseness and hesitations, I mean he went after her, he tried to win her back, he confesses that this was all true and she knows that, he had been traumatized as a child. True that doesn't compare to what Adele had gone through but still tho, trying to break off their engagement is already a crime in that kind of era, since women can't really break off such things, she already walked out of the Duke's household, made him run around worriedly, even wanted an extravagant confession/proposal. If it were in modern times, I'm okay but considering the era and timeline, that's already too much.
