No I think the kids went and visited Seolhyun in Korea. That's why the daughters friend was asking for food from Korea. It's not that they were taking a break per se, but just taking on different responsibilities which naturally meant them living separately. Seoulhyun wanted to stay and take care of his grandfather but didn't want to keep his children in Korea where it would be difficult to raise them without constantly being scrutinized. So Hwa took the children overseas where Lycans were present so they wouldn't have to hide who they are all the time.
At least that's what I got from these last few chapters. Correct me if I'm wrong about anything.
He stayed behind in Korea to care for his grandpa who apparently didnt have long to live. But by ino and kakia's wedding, it is implied by their daughter that the grandpa has passed and thats why seolhyun finally went to canada to join his family.
