I guess, as far as they've hinted at, it's kind of a twisted reason? Like, s-ranks are such monsters in his eyes that no matter how rotten the leash it is better than no leash at all. But we see that he is very conflicted anyways because he doesn't like the corruption either but he has no alternatives in mind. (Unless he becomes convinced Yoojin is a better "leash"?)
