I WANT TO DEFEND THIS MANGA FROM THE THIRD TOP POPULAR COMMENT!!!!

The wrap up is perfect! Let me clear those "unclear points" you probably just missed.

Akira is not a bad ghost. He died at 17 right? And he was hanging around for 16 years already. Everyday, he dreams of his days when he was alive, day by day. When Haruto cannot see him anymore, he dreamt of the day he died. Therefore altering his appearance, as we can see he is now wet and nasty looking from his death in the river. Thus when they meet again, Akira was no longer his cheerful self after witnessing his own horrifying death. Yet even after that, he did not take Haruto with him. He passed onto the afterlife himself. Before this incident, there are proof that he is indeed a good ghost when he broke the wall to alert the neighbors to aid on Haruto that has fallen down the stairs even if the tiniest poltergeist literally takes every bit of his strength. Also, the neighbor that said that Akira was a bad ghost took back his words, at the end he said that people can indeed relate to a ghost in contrast to the book. AKIRA WAS NOT A BAD GHOST, ATLEAST HE INTENTIONALLY WASN'T. What happened are circumstances resulting to his dream of his death. It was bound to happen. It just so happened that Haruto had Akira's fluids on the Akira's 17th year, the exact day of Akira's death, and Akira's intended passing.

Akira wasn't really different from the other ghosts. And he wasn't meant to move on to the after life after solving a so called regret, but rather than after dreaming all his days in those 17 years he had before dying. Suicide or accident, it was an awful death either way, that explains his stench.

its realistically beautiful. i truly love it. their love was so pure until akira made the wrong choices. however, no matter how much i try to understand akira, i just cant. he was the one to pursue nishi. he started it, he was so passionate about it, yet he was so quick to drop nishi and marry a woman. i know its a 5 chapter manga, akira's actions were explained more on the movie adaptation, yet its just not justifiable. i cannot sympathize with him one bit. he bought nishi so much pain for 8 years. i just can't ever understand how you can leave the greatest love of your life due to such petty circumstances. there might be second chances, but there are already cracks. nishi is an absolute sunshine, he has the heart to forgive, that's the only thing that kind of made me believe that they've truly reconciled.

Personally think that this one is the best out of all the author's works

It feels like I sat with someone who just told me the story of his life. It's so raw and personal, this story is sure to be with me.

To be honest, it's quite fast paced. Also the way Reese's trauma was handled merely like that was very unrealistic.

Ahhh I really love all this author's works!!! My heart is full!!! It's a shame it's ended, there's still much more potential for their development as a couple. It's still marked as incomplete so hopefully there are extras <3

The art got downgraded a tiny bit towards the end after the author's break but that's that. For 20 chapters and five years later, I wish that there were more development towards their relationship. After settling in to shun's hometown, everything seemed static there on. These two deserve the world so hopefully, the author wraps their story sweetly.

there's one thing i am confused about, when they were at the hotel, shun said he had sex when he was engaged, at the end, it was revealed that he hasn't even kissed his ex fiancee. those two scenes we're conflicting so i was confused, does it mean shun lied back then?

one of my faves. beautiful art, great plot. their story is so comforting. im glad they got together in the end.
personally, manga is better than the movie for me. there were quite a bit of plot holes in the movie that left me confused, im glad i read the manga after, it made a lot more sense.
