Remember the dude she cares for both his and his sister life is at stake. Blushing doesnt mean enjoying, yes it indicates flustered happiness and such, but fury and embarrassment is also under the umbrella, the redness could indicate she angry with herself for feeling like she can't do nothing

I guess because in the novel there was pretty much things what the readers didn't like. I didn't like rhem either.
Like Cliff covered up many bad things what the writer do, and he literally didn't get punished and have a happy ending with another lady... - now he's punished too
The writer wasn't punished either for killing and torturing 13 people either. - now she punished.
OG FL never came back, like she was innocent and just disapper.
The duke and ducches never appologise. - they apologise, yay
FL and ML left the duchy because they didn't feel safe and good there and they need to revive a place where is nearly nothing.... - now after all the shuffering they just need maintain what they have

Now that I think about it, you have a point. What I didn't like was that Cliff still liked Rize, the original author. Is he going to find Rize? Because he disappeared. Maybe he will go to the world where the other Edith created because the original author is there.
