I hate yall for bullying the artist into changing the art style. They look like any other work from a bl artist now. Faces/expressions are so typical. Idc if this is more accurate. This does not look better, you cannot convince me :(

Yeah everybody was complaining it wasn’t true to the novel and I believe told them it was bad. But it was so eye catching and felt different, it’s the whole reason I started reading idk. I understand them as a fellow novel reader too but also I’m not satisfied with the new design. They should have either did this from the beginning or not do it at all and took a stance

They switched artists because the previous one no longer wanted to work with the company, claiming the company was too demanding, overworked them, and didn’t allow breaks.
I hate to say it but although this new art style may be the most accurate to the story, I miss the old one I’m literally tearing up as a I say this yes it’s that serious for me. For ppl who didn’t read the novel, we DONT CARE, I became interested through the artists original art style oh gawd they both looked so majestic my jaw had dropped. The new ones feels familiar at times and other times I’m like who are these dudes

I have to say I’m reading this after watching the live adaption and damn. They really followed the script throughly, I’m so happy about that. There are certain mangas that should be followed closely to their live adaptions and this is one of them. Maybe most bls. It makes fans happiest. I gotta say they made the perfect choice choosing the leads and the scenes. They got everything down to the tee(excusing the explicit scenes lol) beautiful story.
I wouldn’t have mind the MLs getting together(I mean that’s what we here for XD) but in terms of how they went about it was what was trashy was this story. Amateurish writing. So stupid it hurt my head. The art could be better but it would have overlooked if the story was executed better with more nuance and seriousness. In the end, it should make you want to root for the red flag but I didn’t. The characters are not fleshed out. The uke …I don’t respect him. Ho this isn’t Luo Binghe and you are not Shen qingqiu. You can’t just forgive him for everything(rape/assault/abuse) just because they cry and apologize. Putting a bow on top of a pile of shit.
Meh. Had high hopes, kinda disappointed. One scene did move me. It was towards the end when Skylar reminisced all the things cirrus done for him and he in return had said those cruel words to cirrus in the rain scene about not knowing what love is. That shit hurt ngl. Only moment I felt moved. The rest was :/

I just had really high expectations. I actually been waiting years for this story is be complete so I can’t believe I wasn’t enjoying it half way. I didn’t really root for the couple throughout the story either, I tried to see the chemistry but it didn’t convince me. They just seem like two kids who needed therapy.
Jesus the couple are a bit frustrating. At some point the uke is super adorable and some points he’s so cold and his words are so cruel. Even as the reader, I can’t tell at all if his words are the truth or lies. Like even I don’t trust him so when he does say something sweet and heartfelt, I’m finding it hard to believe him too. The seme is an obsessed psycho but I also feel a lot of sympathy for him. If they were both more honest with their feelings and thoughts, we would be going somewhere but right now it feels like we’re abit stuck. The art is beautiful. The smut is great but I missed season 1 when it was more consensual :/
I can’t lie I do like the art style and the characters are interesting but the author seems a little lost on how they want the plot to progress. The uke seems so out of character in recent chapters, is it just bad writing? Idk but hopefully this hiatus helps the author come up with something more reasonable and interestingヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
