her dad basically had begged the prince to take care of her ( like take her out???? ) and the prince agreed so when the dad gave juve the knife, it was for protection for when she would escape but ofc she misunderstood and thought it would be so she could k!ll herself and when she saw the prince she thought that he would torture her and so blah blah the dad goes crazy and commits a whole genocide. lol .
