I feel like a lot of people are complaining about the manhwa straying from the novel. I've read the novel before, and while the manhwa is definitely changing major parts I don't think it's all that bad. I like that the duchess is doing the interrogating it really solidifies the author losing it's authority right away.
I remember reading this in middle school and getting impatient and finding the novel in high school and finishing it. I'm in college now and I can't believe the manhwa is still going (the novel was really good though)
