I just finished reading the novel volume 2 two days ago. The chemistry between Lanzhou & Xiao is amazing. He is not a red flag so far. The story itself is political and I didn't like the background story, it's very boring but I always look forward to the MC & ML interaction. When I compare it to tgcf which is a mastermind storyline that keeps on your toes, Qiang Jin jiu failed to impress me in that area. Now before coming at me, this is a personal opinion. I felt the political part were repetitive. The whole thing about libei, zongbo, the 8th battalion, the imperial army, the elephant army. All this got me confused. Another thing I noticed the author write Another characters character profile & history through the eyes of another character. These details were so boring & I couldn't picture some of the characters in my head except when it comes to MC & ML.
It's the same artist...in her main manhwa they haven't done the deed yet. But ohhh It's gonna be a wild ride after seeing these chapters. Loved the hades & persphone take

Ok As an Asian I will explain the context of "brother" here. I'm South Asian and all of us Asians including East Asia has our own word for "brother" however that word doesn't mean Blood siblings. Unless you call your own blood brother, as in the sibling who is born from the same womb. So if you adress some male who is older than you & is not your blood by "brother" It's completely fine because both the party & the society knows that they're not related to blood. Even wife's call their husband's "brother" in their respective Asian language if they're older. However I understand in the west the term brother is seen as different.
