She does fall in love with the Duke, (it should be obvious, looking at the cover and genre.) but she doesn’t become swayed or flustered. She cancels her plans of the fake husband and run away for other reasons.

It’s not a big deal… but, she canceled her plan of run away because she figured that Rezef wasn’t suitable to be emperor. She realized this especially after he decided to kill her nanny and tried to cover it up. So she decides to become empress herself, temporarily, until her little brother (half sibling I’m pretty sure) is ready to take over the throne.
She cancelled plans for fake husband because when she and Raphael became lovers, at the time, he already had a solid position (he became the Duke/Grand Duke (I forgot his fathers title.)) so Rezef couldn’t do anything to harm Raphael. Therefore she didn’t need a fake husband anymore.
Raphael in the story hasn’t officially taken the Duke’s title. Later on, he does.
