Should I actually read this? Be frl cause I feel like this is one of the bl classics
I personally really enjoyed it! I recommend it to others, but to keep in mind this is a love triangle and the two main characters used to be step brothers. Also there is a lil bit of cheating not on the main three mcs tho. I think if you can remember this is just fiction and can separate this from reality than it’s a great read and the art is gorgeous.
It’s good, but unless you’ve got your critical reading comprehension glasses on I’m sure it can be an exhausting slog. I had a much more enjoyable time when I picked up on the themes that the author (very competently) wove into the characters, before things clicked they felt like a gaggle of incomprehensible assholes.
The story is about the need to be vulnerable to fall in love, and the need to let go of your pride in order to grow. Haesoo (MC), and the love interests all form a triad of different levels of readiness to move forward, and U personally found their growth to be rly moving and satisfying. Approaching it from that perspective from the start will stop you from feeling like you’re watching a self-destruct competition and more like the last gasps of childish immaturity before it grows into something better.
It’s helped a lot by the fact that, despite the MC starting out on a very frustrating back foot and blowing up his own life, he is VERY much the first one willing to change; he does the work well and while he gives other people a hard time he’s very aware of his own flaws and makes no excuses to himself. It feels like a self-made cinderella story when the other characters realise he’s been quietly improving himself the entire time and no longer has the same buttons they can push. Very satisfying to watch.

“I was chatting and laughing with the same guy I hooked up with” is joobin saying that he himself was doing that or saying that yikyung was doing that and acting normal about it? Cause I read that and I was confused cause it said “I” when yikyung was the one doing that
I think joobin is saying that yikyung was doing that but as if he was is his shoes idk if im explaining it right like he’s saying it as if he’s yikyung
I'd think it was a translation mistake. In some languages like japanese it's common to say the sentence without specifying its subject, which is implied by the context. He could have just said "Chatting and laughing with the same guy I hooked up with" refering to Yikyung.
Idk if korean works that way too lol
