We saw him a lot in beginning of s2. Whenever he showed up the sun rose early if u re read the chapters. Khepri even protected seth by bringing dawn early once when he collapsed in hunger and once when.anubis was about to attack them. from what I understand, mc was supposed to be deleted as punishment since he didn't follow the mission so he got separated from the current reality and locked up somewhere. he's like a bug at this point now, remember he was first transmigrated there in order to make ml happy but ended up falling for him instead, which goes against the main mission.
time continues to flow in the current reality and people who knew mc start to forget who myungha is, including ml. but when ml does remember, he tries to get in touch with mc. it seems mc found a way to get out of the place he was locked in, but I'm guessing the timeline mc is in was the d-day where as ml (who is in the current reality), still has a countdown towards the d-day (7 days left).
So the reason why mc tells him to come at that day (the competition) no matter what is so he gets to meet him since rn they're currently in different timelines despite being in the same place.
