i hate to say it but some of y'all are acting like we haven't literally seen the backstory of yeonwoo and why he's this way.

y'all wanna talk about mental health and traumas so badly but as soon as a realistic trauma response from a character is manifested, y'all suddenly cherry pick.

also, are we ignoring the fact that this is literally the first step of yeonwoo to resolve his issues and not all growth is fvcking linear. y'all don't have empathy and it shows.

idk about y'all but i'm on yeonwoo's side on this one. i know that his codependency to junhyuk is toxic, that's true. BUT, you have to understand that yeonwoo literally doesn't even comprehend how this is true — he doesn't understand why junhyuk broke off their friendship and doesn't understand why haesol and everybody else is saying their relationship is weird.

HE NEEDS COMMUNICATION FFS. his mind is already in a shitty place as it is with the traumatizing situation that happened to him so that mixed with this sudden "let's cut off our friendship" and "y'alls friendship is weird" is something that would obviously RATTLE A PERSON UP.

also, idc about haesol. she acts like she puts in the proper efforts for yeonwoo in their relationship but there has only been LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIMES WHERE SHE EXPRESSED HER FEELINGS TO YEONWOO. bro, they barely went on dates and bffr, haesol is probs the most emotionless character i've seen in a romantic relationship. idc if it seems shitty to y'all but i get the reason of why junhyuk is the "only person" that yeonwoo sees as someone important in his life. dating doesn't necessarily equals instant importance, that shit is earned.

i get it, the boy did shitty things but, i get where he was coming from bc he came from shitty situations that led him to have a shitty mentality.

the thing that frustrates me the most is when readers paint karel as if he's a god (at this point in the chapter) and all that shit when y'all know that all of the shit that happened between him and sasya wouldn't start bc of HIM. dude literally DRAGGED sasya to his mansion in the first chap.

also, it frustrates me that y'all are so open to being more knowledgeable about people's mental health and traumas but as soon as a literal traumatized character shows the shitty reality of being traumatized, y'all suddenly don't like it. like, bffr. do y'all really think that all of the people who went through traumatizing stuff would just be constantly doing fine and dandy???? like?????

idk why, but this is one of the rare times where i actually don't see the chemistry between the side couple and i don't think i'll be anticipating their story too much.

the fact that the previous chapters were in yeonwoo's pov and had monologues to show y'all wht was going thru his mind during all of this but y'all are still saying "oh, if i was in that situation, i wouldn't do that".

first of all, i'm glad u all have never had to be in a situation where y'all had to even think like this. a literal child was going through things, he was in a shitty place, therefore a shitty mental state (i can't believe i still have to explain this, y'all are disgusting).

secondly, different people have different responses to shi. two people with the same background can respond differently to the situation no matter what happens because that's how it is (again, i can't believe i have to explain how this works).

conclusion, anyone who's victim blaming here is disgusting. i don't care abt your background nor history, y'all are disgusting.

y'all are saying that it's sasya's fault bc he didn't communicate well or it's sasya's fault bc he left the man or that karel was in battle and sasya was just being a slut.

first of all, sasya literally couldn't speak the language of karel. HOW THE HECK IS HE SUPPOSED TO PROPERLY TELL HIS FEELINGS. he was literally carried to a mansion by a man who literally just thought he looked attractive like wtf — ANYONE would be scared at that shi.

second of all, sasya, even before he met karel, had issues that he himself couldn't fix. even up until the chapters rn, you can see that he still has unresolved issues hence why his actions are so shitty — bc HIS LITERAL MENTAL STATE IS SHITTY. y'all want to acknowledge and be "woke" abt trauma responses but the moment a character shows trauma responses, y'all suddenly cherry pick.

and for the record, nobody forced karel to do all of that shi for sasya. he acted all on his and if he's doing that to make sasya love him, that was manipulation and u can't change my mind.
