Honestly the ending sucked so badly, he lost all the bad memories but also the little good that happened recently. Also the theory that they both died in the water, which also sucks.
The only acceptable ending for me would be this was all a dream going in Dooshik's head in the first time he was drowning when picking clams, then he is saved by Jooha and they have a good life together.
This was just like those fanfics where the main character has a shitty life and keeps getting raped or kidnapped

Why does the uke never have the means and agency to resolve a situation ?. I know Seme is rich and uke is poor, but c'mon writers, this one is starting to be like pearl boy! That uke cannot have a minute of piece in his life, he'll have his parents dying, be raped several times, be in debt, have to work hard to have minimal living conditions... We know most yaoi can be an analogy to straight relationships and the uke is the woman and the Seme is the man, so the same as I hate the overuse plot device of the woman being saved by the man I hate this too
i agree with mostly everything you said, but limited run is definitely not going to be like pearl boy. the author specifically said that this story would have a happy ending and since this is presumably the last season i can’t imagine this story turning in that direction, but of course yeon-oh will continue to go through hardships that will eventually be solved by jaehyuk because he needs his redemption to earn back yeon-oh
Thanks for reassuring the happy end, I guess I just think Jaehyuk is too rough and the way he treated Yeon-oh could only be justified if he was raised by wolves, but I'm enjoying the way Yeon-oh is treating Jaehyuk more coldly now.

In chapter 54 a flashback shows that Peter went to see Ian but it was raining and Ian got sick so Peter said he was "useless" and bailed, also they seemed really attached too, which would explain why Ian is still so fond of him.
If it's, it's even more fucked up, since Peter was the one who tortured Ian and then gets off on fucking him too, very sick, gaslighting shit.
