lol no babe I’m just guessing . But I said that because what’s going on in the movie script is almost mirroring what’s happening in real life. If you remember from the earlier chapters Tristan is supposed to be playing a character that’s hiding a secret and will double cross Ethan and that’s kinda what’s happening in real life with Tristan being a vampire hunter and he’s now sent to kill the half blood vampire (who is Ethan) although neither of them knows each others actually identity yet.
But I imagine however that whoever finds out about the other 1st will probably find themself in a situation like that scene where Ethan held a gun to Tristan’s head demanding answers. So what I’m saying is one of them will probably confront the other (maybe in a hostile manner because they feel betrayed) demanding the truth.

I completely feel you. Misunderstanding when they can be entirely avoided if the characters just TALK are one of my biggest pet peeves but as you said that’s a common trope in stories so it’s something we just have to live with.
