I can see where you’re coming from, but at the same time ABO has that animalistic vibe to it. So the whole “to attract alphas” thing makes sense ‘cause heats literally exist to attract a mate and ensure the survival of your species. But again, I hear your concerns ‘cause yeah, they’re in a human society. That part was also being quoted from a textbook, and we all know how blunt textbooks can be lol.
As for the “it’s heat” part, that’s defo a translation thing. I read the raws and would say that part translates more to something like, “So this is an Omega’s heat…” The translation team used they/their earlier, so idk why they decided to switch to “its” lmao.
