Can I just say I'm pretty sure that the sword her father gave her in the past was definitely not for her to kill herself. From what we see now, her father does everything he can for her, even if she doesn't know it. Then you have the crown prince, who was going to "torture" her. I also don't believe that either tbh. I think he was meant to be her escape plan. Especially with how the duke and prince talk about overthrowing the emperor so easily in later chapters. I mean I have a feeling, haven't really given it much thought, that the poison the princess drank was also planned by them. Obviously can't speak much on that as we have yet to meet her character, we don't know if she likes her brother or not. So it's possible she might have to be killed depending on if they needed loyalty for faking a assassination attempt on her, or if they just would want to get rid of her completely.
