The best way would be to talk about it openly. From the limited info you gave, if you're certain that she is the culprit and she really can't resist stealing, it could be a compulsive disorder, a mild case of kleptomania, which could be small atm, but can escalate into a serious disorder. Not saying she definitely has it, but still a thing to take ......
Ask an extrovert to adopt you. If that fails then start by greeting ppl, and slowly work your way up to small talk, then common topics and decent convos. Can be hard to step out of your comfort zone, but take your time and you'll get there! Good luck :)
