Once you realise MC's a unreliable narrator, everyone's behaviour starts standing out. Why are they so careful with him, why did Amon give him more bodyguards for no reason, what is the purpose of those weird rituals, and without even mentioning how weird the ML is, Gwen is the most sus one because, well, when is he not sus.

I have a few theories running in my head(it's lowkey reminding me of moritat and eternal covenant w the mysterious lore) but I rlly want to know what MC and ML's backstory is. Ngl if this webtoon had a more realistic and dark artstyle, it would've been so creepy with MC's pov.

Is the Emcee important later? This is the first time I see a character's gender get swapped for that kind of reason.

I did think it was weird to have a female emcee host the entirety of a male survival show(most either have both genders or just males(switching guests per 2 events is the norm for irl survival shows), usually it's someone who've debuted from a similar survival show) so I'm not too surprised abt her being male originally tbh. It was an "OHH, it makes sense now" moment. If she was an important character, how does novel readers feel abt the genderbend?

(For me if she was an important character in a novel I'm a fan of, I'd be pissed about it not following the source material since it's a really drastic change, but if she isn't then it doesn't really matter if drawing girls help the artist get motivated imo)

*Spoilers for the next few chapters cause it's been a long time since anyone picked it up*

Taiyou was marked when he was raped as a minor and was blamed for seducing the Alpha with his heat cause Omega discrimination blablabla. He's "dating" the Vice-president and wants the VP to mark Hanayo. VP is a good person and Taiyou thinks Hanayo deserves a good man to mark him(unlike what happened to him, bros got a ptsd) so he induced Hanayo's heat but VP and Hanayo managed to keep sane. He wanted to jumped out of a window after Hanayo had a talk with him but got wrestled back in.

Taiyou confessed to Hanayo and they kinda had a really ambiguous dating situationship where Taiyou thinks they are all dating(alongside the VP) while Hanayo was still in love with the President.

It got revealed that Hanayo's just a really lonely soul because his father was always not home. He easily fell in love and accepted everyone who came his way because he wanted someone's presence beside him. He had a deep talk with the President after his father got hospitalised and they kinda bonded.

President, encouraged by Hanayo, also confessed to the VP but got rejected cause VP is seriously in love with Taiyou. He got friendzoned and sought comfort from Hanayo. Honestly it's pretty bittersweet but also fked up cause he didn't love Hanayo that way. But yea Hanayo accepted his offer and they had one last night before President flew off overseas.

Basically everyone confessed and everyone got friendzoned by their crush.

*Spoilers for ending pair*
They are kinda in an ambiguous open relationship, there's a short time skip in the extras. Taiyou still loves Hanayo, Vice president still loves Taiyou. Hanayo and President's relationship is left as an open ending alike the author's other works.(President told him to contact him anytime so I'm guessing they still talk)

The extra's just about the trio in Japan and starts off with Taiyou's heat arriving. He almost jumped on Hanayo cause they were sleeping on the same bed, but stopped himself. Anyways VP came in simping for him and they started banging while Hanayo was an unwilling voyeur pretending to be asleep. The pair went to the toilet and continued banging while Hanayo sneaked out and left them a "Take care <3 Im going home" note, making them all awkward, the end. This author loves her open ending and it keeps me awake at night.

I was trying to find information on why this ended early on twitter and found out majority of the posts were commenting on how "boring" and "mid" the webtoon was. Some go as far as to post how they would never pay for something as "dumb" as this.

Social media has been really mean to creators recently. I get not wanting to pay for a series, I'm here too, but taking the extra steps to publicly comment on how much you dislike a series you read for free is just hateful.

This was one of those few adaptations that stayed true to the series and I had fun rereading it as a webtoon. Condolences to the fans of this series, it was nice while it lasted.
