Okay, so the first chapter is the future/present and we’re currently in a flashback seven years before. It seems in the present, MC has this elitist mindset and Tan refers to him and Hima as two different people, but only on the outside. Did MC lose his memory or something a second time? Maybe he regained his memories but forgot his memories of the library, idk. Ngl, I was really hoping the first half of chapter 1 was a flashback so we wouldn’t have to see that gangr*pe scene again…
I LOVE how the author made Maki black cat coded without being a tsundere! Also love how they both know how to cook! I get tired of the trope “one is great at cooking and the other is hopeless at it,” it’s so much nicer when they’re both good or horrid at it. It’s so much more realistic and balanced for Maki to be a good cook while Hanazawa can still cook but is learning and improving
