Yea i was right it was 1937-1945

This is a HISTORICAL manga from a mangaka that SPECIALIZES in historical accuracy. It does not reflect any kind of personal views of the mangaka. They are simply drawing and writing what that time period was like. And do not forget that during WWII, Japanese citizens were also fed lies from their government about what they were doing in other countries. All they knew was they lost the war but their soldiers came back. So they celebrated their soldiers for bravery and for coming back home alive. Therefore, the mangaka included scenes of the citizens celebrating the return of their army because it was historically ACCURATE.

Yeah, they were pieces of shit. I cannot forgive what they had done. Although I like this yaoi, it kinda irks me that they were the army from WW2. Plus the countries they mentioned here/was deployed to experienced HELL.
I know they weren't actually there but the set-up is shit especially to those who felt their maltreatment and evilness

What? I mean I'm not the one talking about the Japanese military government and the shit they have done and comparing it to this manga where an underage boy gets fucked by the person he admires the most. What I did can't even be compared to this, nice try. It also really was a turn off.

In simple terms, Japan invaded China and large parts of Asia during WWII. Stole their natural resources and riches, raped and murdered people as they continued further into the countries. And they also kidnapped Chinese citizens and locked them up in torture camps where they did experiments like putting them in pressurized tanks and seeing how long it'll take for their heads to explode.

There are thousands, even millions of Holocaust survivors but to this date, there isn't a recorded survivor of the Japanese torture camps.

My own great grandfather was a victim of the Japanese. They robbed him of all his riches, beat and raped the women in our family, and beat my great grandfather half dead. Then they drove him out into the middle of a forest, dumped him and left. He died in there, trying to crawl his way back out.

If you want an accurate showcase of brutality by the Japanese army, google The Rape of Nanking. You will be disgusted to the bones.
War never does anybody good. People should read more history so they can notice the warning signs and prevent them as much as possible.

Thank you for you answer, it truly is very horrible... Humans can be very-very disgusting creatures... we've been taught about the Holokaust a lot, since our country was involved as well, it was a very bad time.

It's not that they don't care. There's not much evidence showing what the Japanese Government did during that time. However a lot of witnesses, "comfort women" have spoken up about the incident. The old Japanese government pretty much covered up what happened. It's never taught in schools, a lot of Japanese people rarely learn about WWII, they don't recognize the nazi symbol.

No, but my grandparents' families were and many of my ancestors died or were harmed by the Japanese government. Do I think it justifies hating Japanese people nearly a hundred years after the tragedy? No. But all we're saying is that even though it's difficult, what the Japanese government did to many Asian countries should not go forgotten or romanticized as a "cool look" for a historical setting. War is never justified, but the wrong doings of any side should still be recognized because it did hurt many people. Therefore, war settings should never be glorified as a time with "cool" uniforms that were representation of corrupt governments which is unfortunately happening in this yaoi.
