I read a recent chap of “thought it was a common isekai story” and they also toned down the scene in that one in comparison to the novel. Maybe its because these manwhas are pg13??? So it’s against the rules to adapt these types of scenes properly or smtn? but shi lmaoo. Idk man…they could’ve even like shown sfx to show he was hitting her and just focused the shot in the corner and faded away…whatever. Guess the big bad is confronted just like that…beat his ass ig, Izek. It ended so quickly too that’s crazy. So much for that build up ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I mean im not disappointed about the mercenary since his and his buddies “intentions” didn’t add anything to the plot than a light scare to edith. But i mean….her clothes look relatively fine? I don’t think a whip touched her…ig it takes a while for the face to swell after being hit cuz her face looked fine in the last panel. But then again it seems her face was a bit messed up in the panel beforehand. By the looks of it she did go through with giving her necklace to the mercenary as payment even tho it showed up for a sec in one of the shots. Common artist accident ig. I hope they atleast dont tone down on the shi Cliff pulls by abandoning edith and edith reaction or whatever cuz then I a novel reader with a burning hatred for cliff will look plain silly lmaooo. Also im not saying i wanted to see tre torture taking place what they did with showing that chick hand and then several unseen hits was fine but they should have atleast shown her taking out the whip and then shown in the end edith clothes being ripped and tattered a bit i mean…? Not to break the immersion but they’re drawings on paper i think she can take it
Dearie, Cliff will rescue only Lise and his mother, leaving our cinnamon Edith to the torture. The story will go down the drain starting from here and there's no hope in future as well because neither Cliff nor Lise will recieve any punishment but end up being duke and duchess of Ludwick duchy.

Looks like we going for an anime original ending seeing how Edith already knows Lize is the author now. Tbf the outcome of novel Lize and her lackey Cliff was ass so I’d like to see a proper downfall. And i want to see the Duke break his back as he prostrates himself to apologize while Killian and Edith cut him off. Oh well, it still sucks we lost two big scenes…im not sure how they will make her win the third setting now-actually, considering she still thinks killian likes lize and lize and that other btch are framing her rn will probably lead her to think she has no chance of defending herself this time so ig we’re still on track. I really did want to see the scene of edith waking up to realize Cliff didn’t even bother looking for her in drawings format tho. A shame. Oh well, if anything i can just reread the novel for that
