Why are the official chapters split up like that? I’ve seen it done on a few other stories, and I was just curious.

In most of the cases I’ve seen on here, it’s the translation companies (sometimes it’s the authors). Certain translation companies split the chapters, and this could be for a variety of different reasons - it could be because they want to release content more frequently so they halve the chapters to have something to release twice a week or once a week rather than one full chapter a month; it could also be because the chapters are too long for them to translate all at once so they split it into parts, or so they can make more money off of the chapters by charging for each part. I mostly see this with Japanese manga which typically has long chapters and and are typically released in weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly, etc. manga magazines, so all of these reasons are plausible for why they do this. I hope this helps!

I wish the younger brother was endgame. The older brother sucks, and I always prefer the childhood friends to lovers trope. Blah. I wish the younger brother would at least find his fated partner before the end of the manhwa, but I don’t see that happening.

Personally, putting the older brother aside, I don't think the younger brother has a compatible personality with Wooseo who is a lot more mature. For someone who loves so deeply and carefully like Wooseo, Jigeon who is similar to him can fully recriprocate the intensity of his feelings. Anyways, who knows, you might get some side stories of Jiseok?

I think both brothers have a maturity problem, but Jiseok was at least mature enough to back off and step aside to protect Wooseo from any more pain. Yes, Wooseo loves deeply, but Jigeon’s “love” is more like an obsession, and he doesn’t care who he hurts as long as he gets what he wants. I don’t feel like they’re compatible at all, tbh.

Yes and no. Jiseok didn't necessarily just back off to protect Wooseo from more pain. He's now realizing that Wooseo likes Jigeon more than he ever liked him, and ultimately conceded. Jigeon is not the less mature for decisively taking a last ditch gamble for what he truly wants. Maturity is when you make a decision and stick through with it and reap the consequences of what you sow. The reason Jigeon let both of them realize is because he wants Wooseo to know about his true personality. Even though he is the chessmaster that set up the board, he didn't force any of the pieces to move. From the very beginning every character made their OWN decisions. All these decisions were STILL Wooseo's decision. Would this really have been a sweeter story with Jiseok? Arguably the time Wooseo spent agonizing over Jiseok is just as toxic for him, other than the fact that Jiseok only started wanting Wooseo because he realize Jigeon was taking him away. Jigeon may be a means for an end kind of guy but he's not bad for Wooseo. In the long run, after they make it through this last hurdle, they're definitely going to have a long and good relationship.

childhood friends to lovers is much sweeter than falling in love with your best friends toxic and manipulative older brother bc a magic ring turned you into a forced proximity trope. jigeon is not even a little mature, he's disgusting. you can say the characters were technically making their own choices but you do understand what manipulation is right? he is straight up a bad person. sadly i'm not wooseo or the author so i'm unable to affect the terrible decision he's making, but i can still dream.

You don't have to like him. This has always been a villain's perspective story if anything. I can understand preferring a sweet and wholesome BFF story, but I think most of us came here for the dark plot, and it has never shied away from being presented as anything but. Even if Jigeon was manipulating the scenes, he doesn't control people. Aside from fight or flight, when people are put into situations, their personality comes through and their choices are their own. Even without Jigeon, that's still their decision in that circumstance. There are people who are doing moderately, and aren't willing to help others, and there are people who are absolutely broke and will still give you what little they have. Did anyone force Jiseok to ditch Wooseo for Mina? No.

The people who are mad about this are so unserious. You go to their page, and they’re the same people reading stories like PotN, Legs That Won’t Walk, Missing Love, Jinx, Waterside Night, etc. Just compare the ratings. Funny how rape and torture is just fine, but cheating is enough to cause y’all to rating bomb this story. Not to mention, y’all thought it was okay to spoil the story for everyone with no warnings.

Nah you idiot, you think just because those manhwas are high ratings means rxpe and torture are fine for us readers? You don't even know we're ranting there too everytime it was a fck up scene. Ofc others are mad abt cheating who would not right? We're fcking mad abt rxpe and tortures too you think we're enjoying seeing it? No, we stay coz we want to see the end of the story and what'll happen to the plot.

Honestly you can't compare those stories with this one because those stories are tag as hardcore on korean sites. This one isn't and its just a modern romance that's NTR. So people mindsets are set differently for those and these stories. If you want to compare maybe stories like Yours to Claim, Secret Relationships, etc would be it (sorry idk many omegaverse stories by heart so i couldnt think of one)

I’m not comparing the actual stories. I’m looking at the profiles of some of the readers who are rating this manhwa low, and seeing the hardcore shit they typically read and what they’re rating those stories. Personally, I find it hypocritical to be a regular reader of hardcore BLs, but then come on this page and be outraged about cheating and rate it low. I actually saw someone say at least the seme in Sadistic Beauty didn’t cheat on his uke. Lol Like, no the seme in Sadistic Beauty actually did far worse??? That type of mindset is just weird and ridiculous, imo. If you don’t agree, fine. I’m not going to go back and forth about it anymore.

Bro there's so many ppl reading hardcore yaois not because they like how the story going angst and whatever sh*t it is, ofc it has so many ratings because it's popular and the artstyle attract the readers and first of all why the heck do you mind their own reference? It's their choice wether they rate it high or not because they like it.

Okay, I can definitely see what you mean but at the same time these stories are in different categories, so most likely those people separated their opinions from hardcore to non-hardcore. Humans are complex because judging by the stories and outs setups, we set a certain standard. Though I agree this alpha is not even worse compared to Wookkyung

As someone who also uses different standards to rate hardcore and non-hardcore BLs, I call bs on that. I get what you’re saying, I do, but I still find it ridiculous. And honestly, I wouldn’t have even cared enough to comment if people weren’t spoiling the ending of the story and bombing the rating before Jujucat even uploaded the first chapter. I’ve seen too many comments from people who are rating it low while admitting they have no plans to read it. I don’t know if you were on this page within the first couple of days it was put up, but the outrage was insane. Lol I just feel like this story, out of all stories, didn’t deserve such an absurd reaction.

I had to drop this because everything was pissing me off. Yohan’s tattoos were the main problem. Why the hell would he get a big ass neck tattoo and a full length forearm tattoo when he wants to work in early childhood education…in Korea? AND he did it to look cool for some guy he barely even knew. Now, he’s walking around with bandages to try and hide them, but they aren’t even fully covered. What even is the logic behind that? And why would his brother even suggest that he get them, let alone do them himself??? If anything, Yohan should have the back and chest tattoos since they can be hidden, and his brother, a literal gang leader, should have the visible tatts.
Daeshik was another issue. He got called out for being homophobic then came back and gave a dumb rant after educating himself on LGBT issues. Like, the issue was never that he was ignorant of the issues, it was that he was a bigot, so the rant was stupid. Then, he became an annoying super ally and inserted himself into LGBT spaces. Disgusting. He’s the worst type of person, and I don’t get why people like his character. Idc that he ends up getting with the older brother. Still annoying.
Lastly, the child abuse storyline is trash for sooo many reasons. Dumbest ever.

its a bit silly that youre so loud about storylines you didnt finish. Especially the Daeshik homophobic storyline. he had internalized homophobia and was actually queer and ended up dating Yosef. If youre going to drop it, thats fine. But dont make commentary about a storyline you never finished because then you lose context of what it was lol
Dojin is so insecure, especially about Dowon. Like, calm tf down. If Taeju was the usual weak and frail uke, I’d be more concerned about his jealously, but he can handle Dojin if he needs to, so it doesn’t bother me too much. Still, though. He needs to tone it down a notch.
