He has a pretty stern personality, fitting considering his job, but he treats the uke very well, and takes excellent care of the uke in both of his forms. As a horse, the uke is groomed and attended to personally by the seme. When the uke is injured, the seme continues to personally care for him, and he allows him to rest up and heal in his tent. He’s very affectionate towards the uke and handles him gently in his human form. It’s clear how much he cares for him, so the comments about him coming off as insincere are baffling. In fact, while reading, I was wondering if the uke forgot about his family because they didn’t even come up once, and when they finally did, the seme was scared and hesitant, but he took him back. Not to mention, the seme was only insecure about it because the uke’s a horse, so trying to compare his feelings about it to your irl human/human relationship doesn’t really apply.

Aleksi is the type to go with flow which is why he never took initiative until Felix sat him down and told him to "show me you love me" by giving him a bj. Felix then rewarded him for his obediance.
Aleksi is an example of one the archetypes men want in a partner, "innocence, blind obedience, cute, wild but tameable, able to lead wherever they want, someone who can be fooled/molded" which in turn creates Felix into the opposite.
Obviously both don't fulfill it completely and have been modified to a degree but experienced readers can spot these traits and see exactly the behaviour that could lead to more controlling and manipulative actions/words. Which is why some of the things he said and did, rubbed us the wrong way.
And sorry you feel that bringing up parts of a story that couldve been done better is projection for you. Thatd be like saying everyone defending him see themselves as Felix or being with someone like Felix. Either trying to not be accountable for their actions they feel called out on or needing to defend their man since they're in the same boat. If his brother wants the company so bad, he should just kill his grandfather, and that’s their paternal grandfather, right? What about their father? Shouldn’t the company go to him, or was he skipped over? I don’t know what to make of the grandfather, tbh. He may be testing them, mainly the brother, to see how far they’ll go to become heir. We need more flashbacks about the MC’s relationship with the grandfather because why does he favor him so much, or does he really? I feel like the parents just didn’t care about the MC because he was sickly and only the second son, but they started to hate him after he started to act out and cause scandals to lose favor. The whole family is just a mess.
The flashback to the contract has me thinking that he won’t be able to break it. I don’t know why though. All it said was that the ML would protect the MC from his brother, and the MC would do whatever the ML said whenever he said it. It’s not unbreakable, but we also weren’t shown the full contract… I honestly don't know what the MC should do next. He needs to get out of that stupid contract, but he still needs protection, but he may feel like breaking up with the ML will appease his brother’s anger somewhat, but then he’d need a new plan. Idk.
I figured the grandfather would see this as an opportunity. That’s why the MC should’ve just got a bunch of random, cute bottoms to mess around with instead. I only read a few random chapters to get an idea of what this was about, so I could’ve missed something, but it seems kind of obvious that the guy who raped the MC at the beginning of chapter 3 killed his mom… He said he’d been searching everywhere for the uke, so he most likely went to his home, and he killed the mom during his search. He seemed to be in a kind of out of control state when he found the uke, so he’s my guess for the killer, not one of the brothers.
The grandfather definitely knows that the older brother has been trying to kill the MC. Whole family is insane. Poor MC.
