I don't think the problem is tamaki being asexual or not. He doesn't even know he's sexual orientation. The problem is him feeling guilty for having sexual desires. That's not okay and it's not categories under any kind of orientation. It's a kind of ptsd. The kind people who experience rape or sexual assault in their childhood feel. I know it as someone who experient the same thing
I can't say what shii is doing is right but i too had someone who saved me from the suffocating place I'd put myself into. And I'm thankful for the rest of my life. They helped me to love and accept myself as who i am.
