But fr what was the point of him raping her though? So unnecessary and feels forced. Are they trying to show us that he's a scumbag character? Is the aphrodisiac candle important to the world or story? Not a fan of that part and there are more natural ways to do a shocking character intro. Hated that but I'll continue reading for now.

He is still a rapey asshole, with a rapey mindset and would've treated him the same way regardless. I had the thought that Taehwa reminded me of the classic old school 2000s yaoi seme. Except he was the type that's hard to love because of them constantly undermining the "help" that they give to the uke. I felt sorry for Cheonghyeon more than anyone else.
