I’m in love with everything about this manga.
For the first time, I saw a manga that realistically portrays how if someone isn’t sure about their sexuality, it’s not easy for them to suddenly face something that goes against how they’ve always lived and just accept it right away.
I loved how beautifully it showed the struggle of dealing with identity, self-perception, and inner conflicts.
I have no idea why I kept putting off reading it for so long, but once I finally started, I realized I’d made a huge mistake not picking it up sooner.

It was so fucking cute that after every chapter, I just wanted to rip my hair out one strand at a time.

Reading these was so cute
That made it even more fun for me ‘cause watching a bunch of college kids go about their daily lives kinda felt like hanging out with my own friends
For a while, it lowkey became my comfort place

Yeah, the romance was cute and all but the smut scenes made me super uncomfortable

I dropped this before but I came back and reread it from the start. Honestly, I still think the story was trash, but there was something about it that kept me hooked and made me want to see how it ends.
Even though I chose to read it, now that it's over, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

I don’t usually connect with fantasy genres, especially these Korean stories about ghosts and such, because I don’t understand many of their terms, and it gets confusing for me, which makes me lose interest while reading them
But for the first time, I found a story that truly captivated me, and it’s this manhwa
I just wanted to flip through it to see what it was like, but after reading a bit, I got really hooked on the story
It had positives in every aspect
It wasn’t just the writer trying to create a random yaoi romance story, and aside from the yaoi genre, there were other aspects in this manhwa that were very entertaining and well-written
I’m eagerly waiting for the second season!

I read the author’s other works and realized this is the one I really need to cherish because, unlike their insanely chaotic plots, this one has such a sweet and adorable story
I’ll forever be salty over the fact that we’ll never get to see the main couple’s kid

The manhwas were interesting.
Given all the positive comments, I was expecting something fluffy and funny.
It was funny, but it didn’t meet my expectations at all, and honestly, I got bored and disappointed.
Overall, it had a concept that could’ve been really fun and engaging, but the story started off weak from the base. Because of that, both the writing and the plot left a lot of loopholes.
It felt like the author tried to squeeze in all the different ideas they had in mind, but most of them ended up feeling underdeveloped and incomplete.
The characters were likable, but I think a cute story with weak writing was ultimately wasted.

I’m absolutely sure that, no matter how many years pass, I’ll never find another story that makes me feel this deeply.
I’m that kind of person who believes there are so many hidden gems out there—stories that are truly valuable but don’t get enough recognition. On the flip side, there are plenty of popular ones that just don’t live up to the hype.

But Painter of the Night It’s one of those famous stories that truly deserves all the love and attention it’s received—and honestly, even more than that.
