I liked it at the beginning and I will still finish it. It's just that, it irks me at times where there's so much unnecessary humor. Don't get me wrong, the jabs are funny and I appreciate a good bl comedy, but damn. You're in the middle of a raid but you're making out? The rest of the organization are dispatched to capture one of the 3 founders that are on the run while they were fucking? And yet when they were able to stop said founder, the two of them seamlessly show up? Like. Idk.

While searching up if this has a novel (it doesn't), I came to know that it's likely inspired by a song of the same name. Interesting to know it's Norwegian since I was really interested to see that the style wasn't your usual old British royalty seeing the flower crown.
Before reading, I read a comment that said the twist was good. When I was already reading it, I was racking my brain piecing things together. It wasn't one of those twists that was an absolute shocker. But neither was it a boring one where you could see a mile away. It was a bend in the road that had me leaping from my seat the moment it got revealed, screaming "I KNEW IT!"

Honestly, I loved it. I didn't have much expectations starting this. I was actually thinking it would be a waste of time with another @hole top and pitiful uke. Thank goodness the author didn't start with the actual plot of Silence. They'd have probs lost me at the second chapter if they did. However, I appreciate how it didn't come into a sudden redemption era for Iheon either. He had his own kind of hell and trauma as "punishment" of a kind. Although, I'd still suggest he get therapy.

Probably one of the healthiest BLs I've read that's also realistic enough. Honestly, even if this wasn't BL, I might have still read this. The overall pacing, the way they interact with one another, their chemistry and overall 'unproblematictiness' between the two of them is fresh and peaceful. There's a lack of smut scenes (which I'm fine with ofc). Some author's who want to try that "healthy" approach especially in mangas, somehow end up making the story somewhat boring. That's the best way to put it. However, sensei in this one just makes everything feel so— natural. From the dynamic, approach and whole plot. Nothing is forced, not even in their relationship.
Been literal years since I've last read this and back then, it was only 2 volumes. Crazy. I felt like I grew up with them in a way. It's very nostalgic. I find it nice that not everyone got their happy ending. Realistically, that's how life is. Bot everyone has the courage and even if they do attain that courage, it doesn't always work out. I don't wanna say it's a fake life with a fake path, but as many novels and other manga have taught me, it their own reality and road. I hope to the people who are walking in similar road right now find their own solace and happiness in their own little way. You're in my mind, always.
Rereading cause it's always so refreshing and rare, especially in bl, where the adults here are drawn as actual adults without needing to have that "flamboyant" CEO shi. I love it
First couple of chapters somewhat annoyed me but the later ones, especially the side stories were amazing. I love when semes thaf actually feels like people and not overly stereotyped cliche MLs that are stoic and almost robot-like with not an inch of imperfections except hmm slightly manipulative? Overly possessive? And overtly neurotic? Ye. No.

I love this to tid bits I swear. Maybe cause I have a soft heart with grandparents (legit BAWLED when vid was shown of him at the end). Also tbe the couple. Jiyoung is so patient and mature. A rare breed of an ML in fiction and all the more rare–do they even exist?— irl. Haekyoung was also so well done by the author. I love how he's not your stereotypical poor MC that'll take us through pitiful and unecessary drama. Author-nim really hit the feels and clichés without making it cringe!

Perhaps it's easy to view the uke as toxic and crazy. The former, I agree. The latter, I disagree. This is the difficulty of being in the same industry and you're both competitive. All the more in their case where one seems to be naturally gifted or is working hard and gets what worked hard for while the other also works his ass off yet doesn't seem to ever be rewarded. When it is rewarded, it seems as though he only ever succeeded because of the other. It's difficult.
