They don’t end up together and the fl doesn’t forgive the ml. The ml does fall head over heels over her, and she did love him, however the hate overweight it. I believe she indirectly killed herself due to how fast how mental health decline so her physical was decking with it. She made the ml promise that he won’t meet her in the next life, and after she dies, the ml never remarried and is in guilt until he does of old age. I don’t remember how this part go but they do end up meeting in the next life, but it’s an open ending up to the reader on what happens
I thought the reason she klled herself was bc she loved her back ? Wow . And the fact u said he promised her to never meet again in next life yet he did shows how ignorant a$$ and an a$$hole he is. And i heard he said to her in next life " are you my lover" to her ? Not true?

I read the novel a good minute ago so I don’t remember details on why exactly why/how she died, but ik it was intentional. And it basically goes back to the first chapter where she goes up to her and saids are you my fiancée

i really like this story but the CONSTANT micro aggressive remarks on the ml are a little annoying. like why leah is so suprised this ‘animal like man’ knows how’s to dance… HES A KING.
And watching people go above and beyond trying to call justify it under the guise of this being a norm in the historical and fantasy genre has to be the icing on the cake!
I mean a big part of the plot seems to be how racist her country is against his country. Like they fully see these people as actual animals and she’s realizing how wrong her country has been. I’m Native American and spent some time in Korea, I had coworkers who fully thought Native people were fictional characters in cowboy and Indian movies and I regularly got asked if I knew how to use a bow and arrow or a spear.
It’s uncomfortable but racism is alive and well and I think it’s good to have a story that can help people reflect on their wrong opinions if they grew up around ignorant people.
Completely understandable, after all i’m a blk person myself, but the main issue is how constant it is. Like literally almost everytime he’s introduced it’s some insult, and someone in the comments read the novel and said she doesn’t even refer to him like that in the book, or anyone of his race, so it’s like why in the manwha, it’s a completely different story
That’s fair, super weird that it’s so different from the novel and I agree especially with this chapter when she was surprised he could dance, like he’s a royal, and she has already been surprised by him so it is annoying she keeps underestimating him.
I hope future chapters are more like the novel and we can get more out of their relationship than “omg the beast man is a real human! Who would’ve guessed” cliche and stupid trope
But being surprised that he can dance has nothing to do with his status. 1st there's what you said (they really think that they live like animals). 2nd it's a whole effin culture so ofc it's surprising he knows how to dance (like he's not doing breakdance but the MC's nation type of dance). Dancing is very much cultural, if you went to an African country and started tapdancing (in a time where they never saw that) you would look stupid and they wouldn't call it dancing.
I guess I see it more because it’s a neighbouring nation, not like Europe and Africa which are massive continents with different countries thousands of miles from each other but like two countries next door that have different customs. It’s not uncommon that royals will be trained in the culture and practices of their neighbours so that they can smoothly interact with each other. But maybe I’m wrong I dunno
Because they have such drastically different skin colours I'd suspect they're not that close geographically (or the common border is very far away). And if they treat them like animals I don't think they're close politically so they wouldn't teach neighbouring countries' culture. (It seems very novel that his country attends an event. They weren't on amical terms before).
And the Roman empire has considered the rest of Europe as barbarians/animals for decades (despite the countries being close in distance). And leaders of those nations didn't know Roman customs (before being colonized) otherwise they wouldn't be thought of as barbarians.
At least that's the historical compass I'm using to see this story.
It does say in the story that they live in groups at the western tip of the continent, and given the clothing style the Roman Empire is too far in the past to use as a reference in my opinion.
The English royal family was trained in the customs of different kingdoms, and perhaps most significantly- other countries were forced to learn British customs and would prepare throughly for their visits. But I am interested in where you think he learned her countries dance if not in preparation for the visit.
