I'm near the end of the story, and I'm still a bit confused as to what happened between Ryan and Glen. From what I remember reading, the two of them were actors in a movie together, and had sex. I know I missed something considering the psychological effect of those events...

Well i remember reading Ryan having a sad past as he was assaulted/raped in his youth and thus not functioning well later on. He also uses/used drugs and was very desperate for money and thus works in the porn industry but at the end he thinks of starting his own truck industry so that's a good start for a better future

They also just called him father because the author killed him without giving his name to the readers. So the title "father" became his form of ID.

First he became completly delusional, refusing to believe that he is dead and waiting for him to come home. He even foster a puppy because Zhishu love pets and always wanted one. Then he the heavy drinking, self-harm and suicide attemps started. He was stopped by a friend and instead started to go to all the places Zhishu wanted to go to. Finally he died of a heart-disease.
