Not that it's the most important detail, but I wonder if in the upcoming chapters Doumeki will mention something about Kageyama's contact lens case to Yashiro, or will Yashiro (who was perceptive enough to know that Doumeki kept a clipping of the art competition in his pocket) find out himself. It was when Doumeki was asked to get the gun from the drawer and he saw Kageyama's case and it obviously for whatever reason motivated him to take it and not tell Yashiro. In the later chapters he is seen at his own window, upset and holding onto it (after Yashiro left him). Doumeki thinks the doctor is the only person who Yashiro could have ever loved, and he has resigned himself to not trying to move on and build anything with anyone else, maybe he's slightly jealous that Yashiro after 20 years still has that case in his room....

I think he really jealous of him. Remember when Doumeki was about to give Yashiro a blowjob but he didn't want to be seen by Doctor so he pulled car over somewhere else. I think Doumeki will never tell him (well meybe if he is desperate to keep him his side) and Yashiro will found out somewhat. It is a beautiful detail that Doumeki is not thinking the other man Yashiro slept with. (not that much) He is jealous of man Yashiro never slept with but loved. It shows what Doumeki wants from Yashiro. Before his body, he wants to be loved by him, he wants to be wanted and cared by him. So pure.

Yep, the first time he went down on him (I think?) when he was lying in the hospital bed at Kageyama's clinic and he said how he was sorry for doing it there, in case the Dr walked in on them. At that point it seemed more to do with him respecting Yashiro's feelings an thinking he might get upset if Kageyama (who Doumeki thinks Yashiro is still in love with) was seeing him with someone in that way. The occasion in the car seemed more about Doumeki's feelings. Doumeki knows that all the people Yashiro has slept with mean nothing. The only people that have affected him, are the first man who raped him, and then Kageyama who was the first one who he loved and it was unrequited meaning he doesn't want to allow himself to potentially make himself vulnerable again. It might seem a bit of an odd thing to say, and maybe it wont come out right, but the sex Yashiro has that is affectionate, like the Yakuza underling whe he said treated him "like his woman" and more importantly his experience with Doumeki, probably feels more violating and upsettting to him than any of the beatings and violent sex from yakuza men he experienced and coped with so far.

Hmm. I don't know what to think about it actually. Whenever Yashiro and Doumeki touch each other they feel a bit different from their past experiences. Doumeki traumatized by his father (it's coming up sometimes and I think in their second sex he will get over the thought he resembles his father) and Yashiro is not fully understand Doumeki's actions. He is "a weird one" to him. And hopefully he will be able to recover when he understands him truly. In their first, Doumeki was upset, Yashiro was afraid. I think their second sex will heal their hearts you know. When Yashiro left him, it was not because he hated the way he touched. He really did not want to see him hurt. But Doumeki is persistent and loyal man. I really hope they will get a happy ending.. (〜￣△￣)〜

Agree, does anyone want to guess how long they have actually been separated for? I mean it could have just been a week. Doumeki's persistence yep, the last time he was told to not visit the office for a while it lasted half a day.

Oh... That chapter was really something. Doumeki even asked him if he wanted to be with him and his reply was so true And I think they were separated about 2 or 3 days. Because in first day, Yashiro weared Doumeki's jacket (which is so cute) and the other chapters doesn't feel like time has passed.

I never noticed the detail about the jacket, guess he took it from Doumeki's house before he left as another memento? I agree, the timeline must be quite short, as the chairman, well everyone thinks he is going to die soon so succession is imminent, which triggered the whole war. It's just we as readers have been waiting a few years for what is a couple of months in their timeline. (⌒▽⌒) This is why the comment section is a great addition, we can learn new things we never noticed like the jacket detail.

So there have been two "boyfriend shirts" scenes already now (Doumeki having that tiger jumper and Yashiro "borrowing" Doumeki's top when he legged it from his house) ha!

They are doing things so cute but they're like "ok, so what?" (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ We go all crazy about the cute things like wearing boyfriend's shirts or when Doumeki gave him a bj Yashiro was "what is this?"... Oh I noticed that when they are having sex there wasn't any page note like "pulls" or "kiss" "reached" "shocked" "creak" you know what I mean? Yoneda Kou was so good she didn't put those words but there was just their words. Looks. Actions. Readers didn't get distracted about anything. We just watched. Looked their expressions and understood all feelings. So smooth. Goddes Kou. Thank you for your existence. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Yep, my comment was more meant in jest over those more common tropes For the characters Doumeki obviously felt touched when yashiro gave him the jumper. Yashiro fott all we know might have been unable to button his own shirt due to his injury, and brcause he was upset/panicked etc wanted to get out as quickly as possible so grabbed the tshirt and got out. I dont think this is the case though, at this stage he likely thought about cutting off contact but still wanted to retain a sentimental connection to doumeki. Also for yashiro his clothes are part of his act, as well as showing his status as thr leader. For him to wear anything other than flash suits is a big change in brhaviour .

I think so too. But I mean... They aren't showing those emotions to us. We are just guessing. They don't blush, don't get shocked or any significant signs. We understand them. That is it. Yashiro is being incredibly shy when it comes to love. He does not even admit it even if he felt something. Even if he says to Doumeki "I don't want you to get hurt because I don't know want will happen to me if you get hurt" but he is not even blushes when he wear Doumeki's shirt. Maybe he does not even think about the meaning. Doumeki did a great job with his confession. We will wait and see how far he goes. Hopefully he makes Yashiro release his feelings.

Agree! I am rereading it was able to clarify that doumeki has been working with yashiro for only 3 months. So quite a lot has happened to yashiro in such a short space of time after he was able to spend so many years surrounded by his walk and apathy.

Cant link the chapter but this was when doumeki took yashiro to his house . So it cant have been that many days since then in regards to the current chapter.

Yeah I remember that page and I was surprised too. Only months! Actually Doumeki falls in love with Yashiro in first sight. When he was a cop and Yashiro waved his hand to him while saying "Hey Cutiee!" (￣∇￣") He thought Yashiro is so beautiful. So their love is actually exactly what should it be now ha... Yashiro only began to realize how fine Doumeki is and Doumeki is deeply in love with him. He finds his outside and inside too beautiful. So nice ah...

Agree. Also in regards to how many days it has been since yashiro left douneki's house and to the current chapter, maybe as short as one or two days if going on yashiro's clothing .. and doumeki isnt waiting any longer(⌒▽⌒)

Possibly even for a bit of moral support as doumeki says he wire the tiger top to visit his family who he had stop contact with since the crime with his dad came to light ....

Np. But I must say, Yashiro really looked different when he wore Doumeki's shirt. His hair was down in a different way. I think Yoneda made it that way specially. He was really beautiful. By any chance he felt more happy than the past? I don't know... I don't think many times passed because Doumeki wouldn't wait that long. He looked kinda angry. I think we are about to read long conversations. And I wanna knock why Yashiro said 'why?

It's interesting, that Doumeki has made some steps to face up to his own trauma.. he already visited his family again (wearing Yashiro's jumper) , and was able to communicate to Yashiro that he felt he had lost his self control, and confronts his boss asking him what is he so scared of (in regards to their relationship). Yashiro on the other hand, appeared as though he was being assaulted and was no longer in control when Doumeki was affectionate to him, he always says things like "you don't need to do that" or appears completely shocked when he does something more caring as opposed to the rough sex that he is used to. I think Doumeki has been aware for quite some time that Yashiro uses sarcasm to deflect from what he really thinks, and has only really opened up when he said that he was scared about how he would cope if he lost Doumeki, therefore he doesn't want to get so invested in another person, knowing he might get left alone again, and no longer be able to drown this out with his usual coping mechanisms anymore. I guess after Yashiro fled from Doumeki's house, he was hoping that he could return to his "bubble" and not have to face up to what happened in the house. Getting that short haired man, who was Hirata's cleaner to drive him "chestnut" instead of Doumeki etc, so he was expecting him. Doumeki can't even stay away for a day or two though.

3 months isn't a long time in terms of the exposure therapy that essentially Yashiro has faced as a result of him knowing Doumeki. He's had maybe 20 odd years of using the same self protection and deflection mechanisms to cope with his fears and provide comfort and feign apathy. In 3 months he has met this man who has cut his finger off for him, and says he will die for him if needs be. Now Yashiro hears that type of talk all the time, but his other subordinates just likely say that because they are devoted to the group, Doumeki on the other hand is devoted to him. There was another occasion, the police outfit one, where Yashiro realises that Doumeki will literally do anything he tells him to do, so he stops his teasing and changes the conversation. Or there was an "extra" scene which was meant to be comical that showed Doumeki went to one of the bath houses, just because Yashiro mentioned that he should.

(Thought I provide a link just for more detail). In this scene there is an example of Doumeki understanding that Yashiro just deflects, and in response he takes the lead by taking his arm. This might seem quite a minor detail, and it is really, but for Yashiro it was probably pretty big. At the end of the day he's a yakuza boss now, he's the one who tells others what to do, and this has been his reality for most of his adult life. Also, most physical contact Yashiro has had as an adult, has been violence or rough sex. To experience something as simple as another person holding his hand, or his arm in a non violent way, or how Doumeki holds his heads, these are all new experiences for Yashiro that he has tried to stop from happening in case it opens up those wounds.

Cute... Doumeki is so straight about his feelings. He loves Yashiro and that's it. He loves everything about him and I think Yashiro sees this. He knows something is different about him. Whenever Doumeki does something, he does is with love. But he is not actually an obeying type. He does want he thinks is true. He listens Yashiro because he loves him. Actually he really is a dominant type. Like this one. Yashiro made it clear that he shouldn't come near him anymore but here he is. Doumeki always says that he will listen Yashiro but it usually turns out he just wants to be with him and protect him etc. He does what his love requires to do. But 3 months... It is really early for Yashiro to open his heart for him.

Exactly. When they are having sex Yashiro tells him to do it it roughly but each time Doumeki replies "I won't" he cares about him much more than himself. But it is painful to Doumeki too. In one page Yashiro tells him "stop, I an gonna throw up" and he says "even if you do, I won't stop. I guess I am like my father after all" Yashiro tried to tell him he is wrong but he didn't believe it that time. Both of them was confused about their thoughts...

Indeed! I think they are scared of each other because they both understand each other more than most. Yashiro made a point about how Doumeki wants to be the dominant one (regarding sex, usual deflection from Yashiro so we have to read between the lines), but Yashiro knows that Doumeki does things from his own accord because of his devotion, the first time he went down on him, when he told Sugimoto to not enter the room with him when Yashiro was with the organised crime detective, which broke hierarchy, or when Doumeki speaks bluntly to Yashiro about his fears, or physically like the link above which showed him take his hand and lead him out the room or in the last scene where he just shoved him in the car and wasn't going to take no for an answer, or give Yashiro a chance to start his usual routine of saying something sarcastic in order to avoid things.

Indeed, it seems like there will be some great character development, as they now are more aware of each others intent/anxieties. Also the yakuza plot is coming to a head now, seeing as the Gouda group too have been hit, what's Hirata going to do, will the executive board of the Doushinki (wrong spelling) stand behind Misumi. I think Amou too might be having a more prominent role, as he is the person who all the group heads have contact with, and don't really have any personal vendetta/devotion too. Will the Sawaki group (wrong spelling again, ha!) betray people who they consider to be friends (Misumi and Amou), as after all it was their sub group's leader who was trying to give Hirata the opportunity to defect from his own group (D) and join theirs (S), but that's crumbled....

Well hopefully, but I doubt the next chapter will just be Yashiro looking at the ground and trying to avoid Doumeki's eyes when they are in the car going to who knows where. Doumeki, as you pointed out is actually quite dominant and persistent when it comes to doing what he thinks is right, and the enclosed car environment will hopefully mean they are both forced to have a proper conversation that Yashiro can't flee from. Who knows at this stage though. (⌒▽⌒)

When it comes to expectations I trust Yoneda Kou on that. In other mangas she always do the right thing. Character development, relationship development or saying the right words always on the point. She is really talented about story writing so when I look at Doumeki's eyes on the last chapter I can see something good is coming.

Agree. It's the third time Hirata has ordered someone to shoot Yashiro, and at this stage, it seems like Hirata has a limited or zero chance of getting accepted in to the Sanwakai, and his own group now is aware that he is a "traitor" to them, as well as the drug dealing, and that he has been trying to shoot so many of their own members (besides Yashiro, there has been Nanahara and Ryuuzaki too I think). But despite Hirata being in the wrong, the police detective is the one who is trying to get Yashiro to take the blame and Ryuuzaki already is in custody because of his links to the drug deal (it also has helped him prevent being killed by Hirata though). Doumeki on a personal level though, knows that he is the one that has to be proactive in terms of forming any relationship, Yashiro's reaction is the one that is unknown though. He doesn't really care about his groups politics or becoming part of the executive branch, the group is just a place that he ended up, and allowed him to belong for a while, now Doumeki has barged in and is offering him something sincere. I wonder if he Yashiro will ever leave the group, could Misumi even stop him at this stage, seeing as he is they have a parent/child group relationship...

A theory could be that Yashiro's sex with Doumeki brings up his past trauma with his step dad, as this time he is not the one in control and there is also the potential threat of being left alone afterwards (and it actually meaning something). Whereas, all the other people he's been with before had no emotional connection, bar the step dad/seeing his mum while it was happening. It was Yashiro who put himself in most of those violent situations, and it was only really sex in the physical sense, not emotional.

So a timeline of the day (I guess?) it's been since he left Doumeki's house
- Confronts the two men that Misumi has asked to keep an eye on him, Shark & co, to drive him.
- Presumably whilst driving, orders Chestnut & co to hide Hirata's drugs at Ryuuzaki's office, and calls the police who he has connections with. Ryuuzaki is being tortured by Hirata, he gets stabbed, Hirata gets stabbed and the police sirens scare off Hirata and his men. Ryuuzaki has been 'framed" but it means he gets a better chance to survive. Ryuuzaki says that things would have been easier if Yashiro were a woman, and he could have protected him. Instead he says that Yashiro is the one who is protecting him. Ryuuzaki, on the way to jail ends up discovering the extent of his injury and gets sent to hospital in critical condition. Hirata too ends up in hospital but is in a better state of health.
- Next Yashiro gets Misumi's spies to pick up Ryuuzaki's girlfriend after she had been raped by Hirata's men. They then drive to Kageyama's clinic, where she receives treatment and Yashiro meets up with Nanahara. He tells his shocked subordinate that he's "done with" Doumeki, "threw him out" and not to "tell him anything". Kageyama asks Yashiro, why, as wasn't he in love with him. To which Yashiro, who has an unrequited love for Kageyama for maybe 20 years doesn't want him to ask such a question of him. Yashiro uses his usual coping mechanism of deflection.
- Back at Doumeki's house, he's staring at Yashiro's shirt which he has left behind and gets on the phone to Sugimoto. Doumeki is gripping Kageyama's contact lens case.
- Yashiro has ordered that Chestnut pick of his car that's still at Doumeki's. Doumeki is like, of hell no, especially after Chestnut is a prick about "his" Yashiro, and says he will return the car to Yashiro himself. So Chestnut has to sit in the passengers seat and gives Doumeki directions as to where Yashiro is. Chestnut said he met Hirata in prison.
- Executive board talk about what to do with Ryuuzaki & his group
- Amou meets up with the young leader of the Sanwakai at the golfcourse, talk about Hirata joining the Gouda and that bu defecting he will be abandoned by both his own group, and the head group sanwakai that he wants to join.
- The Gouda group gets a call from the sanwakai leader that they have to cut ties with Hirata. The Gouda group leader says he will cut ties with Hirata if his debt isn't paid. Hirata, knowing he has lost his chance of getting into the Sanwakai orders that the gouda group leader gets shot, along with executive members of the Sanwakai. He frames Yashiro for this with the help of the detective, who has a grudge against Yashiro after the occasion from the hotel a few days earlier. Also the first thing Yashiro does when getting in the car after leaving Doumeki's was to call the police officer he thought he was going to meet at that hotel and talk about the event, as well as arrange for Ryuuzaki to be framed/and saved.
- Yashiro (still at Kageyama's clinic) tells Misumi's spies to go now as he has his subordinates and has ordered Chestnut to pick up his car. Yashiro goes and changes from Doumeki's T-shirt he took, and into his own usual suit. He gets a call from Misumi saying what Hirata has done, and that there has been a shooting at his (Y's) office. Sugimoto ends up shot, but survives and goes to Kageyama's clinic. Yashiro says he will deal with this alone, to which Nanahara gets annoyed.
- Yashiro's car has arrived and he walk up to greet Chestnut. To his shock, it's Doumeki...

It's been a busy bloody day for this lot. (⌒▽⌒)

- Oh, and Hitrata tries to get Yashiro shot for a third time.

Yashiro was trying at this point to cut ties with Misumi, and the executive board of his own group is part of the conspiracy against him. And Yashiro at this point did something dangerous like say he wanted to leave the clinic alone and deal with everything himself... he's agitated and says to the driver who thinks is Chestnut that he'll drive himself, which is a rare activity, then he nearly got shot and was shoved into the car by Doumeki.

Thanks. I guess basically Yashiro ended up showing Doumeki as a side of him which he has prevented others from seeing for all of his life. Yashiro, after they have sex ends up having flashbacks to when he was a child and an adult comments about him liking pain to which he agrees. So it seems to be a long running "crutch" to be able to not show that he is suffering to others. Using the material, a long running theme throughout the book has Yashiro only crying when alone (usually at the window). Now Doumeki has saw him not only crying, but crying because of him.

But come to think of it, it's really strange. Maybe hard. They both have a trauma. When they make love it's like it's bring terrible memories they have. Yashiro enjoyed the sex but he said "I'm gonna throw up." What they have is so complicated and mixed. Doumeki clearly loves him but it's not good when he takes control. But actually I don't think Yashiro really loves rough sex or Doumeki wants to be a passive( Not in sex but in his actions) They are actually so good together. I really think Yashiro wants to be cared and loved eve he don't know himself and Doumeki was a police officer back then. He has an dominant character all the time. This does not mean he is like his father. But I think they will get there. They will be able to recover with each other.

Agree. Going back to Yashiro, this manga is interesting from a plot perspective as so many seem to just have the trauma of a character being healed and forgotten about as soon as they hear the words "I love you" rather than this just adding to the characters anxiety. At the end of the day Yashiro is 36 years old, and this is the first person who has ever shown genuine affection towards him as a person. He's never been in any sort of romantic relationship before, only his unrequited obsession with Kageyama. I agree, him saying he is a "masochist" or he likes pain is just a means of self protection.

Doumeki is loyal rather than passive. When it came to protecting Yashiro he constantly broke the group's social norms and did what he thought was best. Seeing them both recover and gradually move on with the help of each other is interesting. Yashio as a response to all the things that happened in Doumeki's house went in 'flight" mode and distracted himself with work, whereas Doumeki reflected more on what happened and went in "fight mode" .

Yep. This is really a good story. I really love mangas with good stories. Art is so impressive and Yoneda is so capable of showing emotions correctly. I am really happy to be able to read her mangas and I think we are so lucky to have her. Talking over a manga is so amazing isn't it? Somethimes I can't even find a word for a manga. But this...
