Oddly enough, those who are yapping about them becoming a versatile couple (switch and vers are NOT the same thing u dumb fks) are only doing this under BLs featuring two masculine figures or when the top/bottom roles don't align with their typical expectations of appearance or behavior for those roles.
Strangely, this discourse doesn't extend to stories portraying STEREOTYPICAL pretty, short, or feminine bottoms paired with tall, masculine, or manly tops, like in « Paint of the Night », « BJ Alex », « Love is an Allusion » or « K’s Secret ».
Y’all are stinky and weird, you cannot fathom a manly dude who only loves to get his ass fked. Weirdos.

GIRL PERIOD. I have been saying this since forever. Im not against switch couples but the fact that people only ask for switch under mangas with a manly uke or a pretty seme pisses me off. Mf out here saying im talking out of my ass try going to the comment section of "High Clear" or "The Dawn That Cuts Through The Night" or "Ang Ang" or "Ghost Window" or "The Pizza Delivery Man and The Gold Palace" i can literally keep going on forever. I have never seen anyone ask for a switch on manga like "Pearl Boy" or "Jinx" and why? Bceause it looks weird for the top to be smaller then the bottom? Be for fucking for real.

I will tell you the reason, it’s because they (mostly women) perceive these bottoms as women thus the reason they prefer them to embody the « uwu :3 >.< vulnerable type » rather than a manly, bulky or just a bottom who does not have any feminine traits. I personally do not like stories with vers couple as irl I am a twink who’s mostly attract to manly bottom hence the reason I mostly read stories with not stereotypical bottoms, but I am not going to go under BLs like Jinx and beg the author to make Jaekyung a bottom and Dan the top or them becoming a vers couple it’s her preference and I respect that yk

It's all about personal taste in storytelling and character dynamics. Different preferences exist within the readership.I like big and strong uke with short or pretty seme.
It’s also important to respect the creator's vision and the dynamics they've established for their characters.
Like it’s so frustrating that they never doing this under BLs with stereotypical uke, yet they will call u homophobic or misogynistic for not wanting them to become a versatile couple when they only want/read bottoms with feminine traits. Clowns

Was literally discussing this yesterday with The Pizza Delivery Man and The Gold Palace. As you said switching demands are no where to be found when the two characters meet the conventional stigmas and top is much bigger and aggressive than bottom. I presume they associate the idea of the bottom with what society usually identifies as females qualities ( softness, cuteness, small, etc). A lot of female readers associate themselves with bottoms and that's why usually tops tend to be the most popular characters in bls. All in all just interiorized misogyny, cause there is no reason for you to be asking for a switch when the author has already established roles

YESSS. Like girl its bl for a reason, meaning its about 2 MEN. Not some big ass top with a bottom that looks more like a female then me lmao. This happends in gl too, when they make the top a super masculine girl to the point where she looks like a guy and then a super feminine girl on bottom. Smh this is what happens when hetrosexual stigmatized people make homosexual content.

First, to those who labeled this work as transphobic, I suggest taking a moment outdoors. Go outside and touch some grass abeg. Nowhere did the author state an intention to represent trans. If this offends you, it's a YOU problem. Nobody is stopping you to go make a webtoon about a trans lmao.
Second, the author stated that she wanted the readers to sympathize with the uke's suffering, elle a foiré son coup. Not once did I sympathize with his situation. He annoyed me too much; he’s as bad as the seme. Anyway, overall, I still liked it, just a bit disappointed because it could've been a really good psychological bl if the author knew how to write it or if the translation was better.

the problem isn't that the Uke isn't trans or anything. i think people have a problem with the author reinforcing the "if you have a penis, youre a guy. if you have a vagina you're a girl" idea. People might get hurt or offended by this. and while the author can put whatever they want in their work, it doesn't mean that people can't still call them out.
An example is in the manhwa "Get Schooled" where a korean person called a black person the N-word. The author can put whatever they want in their work but people still got mad, and for good reason! The same thing can be said about this manhwa.

Ithink they implied that with the Seme not calling themself gay or them calling the Uke a girl. im not gonna argue with you on biology or sociology or whatever, i don't really care what you believe and you probably don't care about what i believe. i didn't compare transphobia to racism, rather, i was comparing how people react to stuff they MIGHT find offensive.
The vagina - penis thing was what i found people to be upset about. im not forcing you to believe what they say, im not even trans myself so i don't really think i can comment on what is transphobic or not in this work. But you calling MY opinion to YOUR statement that "people who get their feelings hurt it’s their problem" "tonedeaf" or "forceful" when i provided examples of people who got their feelings hurt by another media is confusing to me.
Again, im not tryna argue, i was just responding to your comment that people can find this work transphobic even if you don't agree with what they say

what response of mine indicates literally any strong feeling at all?
Sadly, it's increasingly common for bl authors to depict a character as a straight man solely attracted to another male, dismissing his orientation(gay or bi) by emphasizing love for one individuall. This mindset, although not 'transphobic,' is homophobic. Furthermore, referring to the bottom as a girl is deemed both misogynistic and homophobic, suggesting the receiver is a woman.
We are not arguing on anything all I said was stating a fact lmao also yes you did compare transphobia to racism but wtv
And im here asserting that this work isn't transphobic. While some may perceive it as such (even though, honestly, they’re reaching. The world doesn't revolve around them), they can't classify it as transphobic solely because their feelings were hurt lol ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

again, did not compare racism to transphobia. i compared the reaction to the two works (this manhwa and "Get schooled") i didn't say which one was worse, nor did i deem one less than the other since i literally don't experience transphobia and never will.
I can see where you might have confused my explenation as to why the work MIGHT be considered transphobic by some, i didn't explain myself properly. When the seme had his "Revelation" that he could date the uke if he was a girl, he didn't just fuck him when he still had a dick and didn't have the thought "since guys are supposed to be on top, that makes him a girl!" (that would align to your defenition of homophobia idk). No he deliberatly made the Uke get a pussy, so he "would have turned into a girl", no matter that the uke looks like a guy in any other aspect, since the uke has a pussy, that means (in the semes logic) that he is a girl. People might link this to transphobia, since real people experience being judged by what is in their pants and misgendered for it. Is it a reach, maybe, maybe not. I can't assume how strongly people will react to certain micro-aggressions, the same way a non black person will never know how it feels to be called the N-word.
Im not saying you're not allowed to think this work isn't transphobic, since it's your opinion. But what i AM saying is that calling it a reach or saying is that there are several opinions that might differ from yours and since neither they or you are the author, you can never be really "right" or "correct".
Finally i don't have any gripes with you or your opinion really! im just one of "those" people who go "Uhm acshually ( ̄へ ̄)" sometimes lol. My grammatical errors and typos are cuz im not from an english speaking country, so if i came across as aggressive or against you personally, then i apologize :)
gosh I love them sm
