Ugh... I get it... but... is just... haa... that just shows just how disappointing the difference between him acting that role was in the novel and in the comic...
To give a maybe relatable example... you know the joker right? Do you remember the Heath Ledger version right? So... that's novel version and Jared Leto's is the comic version... if you only saw Jared's his joker is ok... if you saw any other... his is... disappointing to say the least... that's the overall feeling of novel readers...
And while I understand that it feels like dragging... please understand... that that's how afraid we are that they'll mess up his other roles too... the Guy Friend is ok because is a romantic comedy mini-series... but Both Island of the Missing and The Eerie Sacrifice od a Stranger are thrillers... one with horror and the other with drama... and they are important roles... and if they mess them like this one... it will be very bad...

Your first sentence was about complaining about every arc which prompted me to reinforce why there were so many complaints and that it was not a normal difference between novel and comic but an important part very badly adapted. where the fuck is his family, like ok dad in magical space and mum is been taken but like where are his grandparents, his aunt? like am I crazy or does it feel like he should have a better support system in place. Sure Jinho is supporting him financially as his uncle but his life post the world getting gates again and pre beru's return is so odd imo.

that's the first timeline though. didn't he get his memories automatically back once jinwoo started being a cop
I will just clarify this but jinwoo went back in time once and one time only. He was stuck 23 years in a side dimension where he fought the monarchs, but on earth only 14 years or some since his birth had passed. When he came back from the fight he asked the rulers to erase traces of mana including his very own, though he has a dimension for his shadows he can access. That is the timeline when he became a cop and the timeline in which his father choose to erase his memory to be able to enjoy his family without feeling like he was deceiving them.
riiiiiight, mixed that up with the rulers own time traveling shenanigans. In the end it's still odd none of them are mentioned
