I've been reading this since it's early days, when at some point this story was dropped by the original translation team for like 4 to 6 months and all we got was melted pages and ai translations that would melt your brain. When most people disappeared.
I stuck through it cause the main story was fascinating.
A cursed kingdom and monarchy, an heiress who saw ghosts and couldn't reveal her magic bloodline or suffer execution or the downfall of her family.
her going under disguise to save the prince and break his curse but also get freedom for magical folk. Even the flashback arc where we followed the couple who started it all and doomed everyone for generations to come.
The nuance of it all was just so fascinating and the love story thrilling.
Characters that acted grown cause they were grown folk.
but now I feel like the main story is lost in the trial to build a new one to continue this all.
maybe unpopular opinion but I feel like this should have ended when she went to the seaside.
Her spending so much time there just to reveal it all amounted to nothing was like a slap in the face to the stories og lore imo.
Like maybe hint at a reuniting to satisfy the romance part of the story but leave it open ended because now the true story could continue in their world (ikr counter productive to what I've been saying) but that's just my thoughts.

but even after writing all this I realised just how we started and what's been long forgotten for the sense of "fresh plot" and It's just not for me.
I'm a bit confused by what you mean by losing the essence of the original plot.
It's the start of a new season so obviously there's gonna be new plot lines. Not to mention, after the side story, there's a whole question mark surrounding the Vishtein kingdom and what happened to the third prince who, spoiler, is called Lucien just like ML's aide??
Also, the translation is really bad and it's clear a lot is not being properly explained, the official translation comes out in a couple days, so just wait for that before making a decision.
I guess the magic, this current plot is the second set up we've seen and it's showing it's moving to the political intrigue part which is a side of it's own but just that alone is a no for me. I have plenty more manhwa with that as the main plot with more compelling rivals.

Understandable, for me the side story really cemented to me that this is a well thought out plot, so I'm more willing to take in new information since I'm now more convinced that it'll all tie back together neatly.
Also, I don't have the strength of mind to just leave it until it's all done
funny enough because of the side story I had the biggest whiplash when after all that everything was seemingly wrapped up (obviously minus the curse on the kingdom and the last secret), moved on and any efforts to continue the story (her going to the sea side) pointless. Like sure the corruption and cheating of the nobles there was bad but it wasn't what they were looking for.
I guess after a while you just develop some self love over multiple soul crashing manhwas ╮(￣▽￣)╭

not feeling it after 9 chapters, the story doesn't have much going for it in originality and the art is ok but not compelling enough to over look the clichés in characters.
I don't mind the minimal romance and honestly find the story lacking when it focuses on it. Like this girl was put through hell in her previous life, who cares if they kiss and hold hands. Burn that family to the ground and the people with it ✧ヾ(☆▽☆)
Nah I personally like it because everyone and their mama says if you get your revenge you feel empty. But she gets to have her cake and eat it too. She is literally living her best life as she makes her enemies suffer slowly but surely. And when you ask her what she will have when it all said and done she can say an empire with subjects that adore me and a husband that favors me and friends that are irreplaceable. It makes me want to smile devilishly
